What am I missing here? It's not clear to me why Wandschneider is a "pervert" or a "deviant." Is it because he rakes in a shitload of money at Pepsi? Is it because he nailed some hot young pussy? He commited adultery, which qualifies him as a "big fat jerk," but that's no reason for the FBI to ignore the fact that a crime was committed against him, as lg thinks is justified.

While I dont personally agree with Gary's personal life decisions of which I am sure he is paying the price, he has been a great business leader at the company. What Gary did may have been immoral but it was not illegal and its the type of thing that happens every day all around us. On the other hand, what Jessica Wolcott did was illegal and she should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Gary gave 25 years of his life to Pepsi and shares a great deal of responsibility for how well the company has done in those past years. Shareholders are fortunate to have had Gary as a business leader within the company. Being a Pepsi employee I will watch this story with interest.

To the Wandschneider family, I hope that you all come through this in the best way possible.

To those that want to bash Gary for his decisions, you should look around you, because chances are you are surrounded by people who commit similar type actions of which you are willing to overlook based on your personal knowledge of those individuals. I personally have more important things to worry about in my life and I dont get enjoyment out of seeing other people suffer. As for Gary being very well off, well we all know that money will not make it any easier for him and his family to deal with the personal problems that this has created.

I personally know Jess... she really is crazy. This man made a huge mistake for meeting her and now he lost his job... i feel bad for him and his family. For some reason I'm fascinated by this case. Not, of course by the motives of the CEO---that's obvious, but what (besides money) makes some girls act this way. I was also used by a girl who seemed to get as much pleasure in the "getting over" aspect as the money. I think for some girls, it helps their insecurity by knowing that they are outwitting successful people. I notice that Jess is from a tiny hill town and her father doesn't seem to be around. This was also the case with my scammer. Jess could probably have gotten Mr. Wandschneider to support her adequately without resorting to such a scheme. I also see that her ex-husband and boyfriend made comments saying that she was obsessed with putting a game over on people.

I have known Jessica for many years, as a previous friend of my daughter.
Yes, she does deserve to be punished
for her crime. She has a big history of falsehoods.
But, those of you who don't know her, shouldn't judge her. She has a really messed up mom, and her dad had passed away when she was young.
I'm not defending her actions, because we knew she'd get bitten in the backside by so much lying and manipulating.
But, she is a real girl, with a sad life, and she shouldn't be indiscrimantely labled.

Althought i don't agree with what Gary did, it took guts to do what he did in the end. He could have very well paid her off and moved on. Even if she had asked for more money he could have paid her off but instead he turned her in. What she did was illegal and what he did in the end was the right thing to do.
He was a great leader for Pepsi and has taken that company with the help of others of course to quite a level.
In my view he made one mistake- (who doesn't make them) - let's be honest here people. I hope Gary and his family the best -

She had gone out with my brother and lived with us for a year, and she is all of the horrible things everyone is saying about her. She deserves everything possible that she has coming to her. Gary Wandschneider is one of the finest people I know. Could he have made a better decision? Sure he could have. Let who ever made all the right decisions in life throw the first stone.

This money sniffing hound has attempted to unlawfully blackmail him. Gary did the right thing by going to the FBI even when it would risk everything and would have been cheaper to pay her off.

Not going to the FBI and paying her off would mean that extortion would find a place in our society, and that would be impermissible. She has disrupted his life and PBG as well as he is not easily replaceable.

I am truly going to enjoy watching this evil bitch get sentenced and I pray the Judge in this case will increase her time for her press release.

Going to the FBI definitely sounds the proper thing to do in order to stop this insane troublemaker. Extortion is unlawful. I don't understand all the interest this development has generated. It should be a private matter between Gary and his family. Plus, we all make mistakes. I first met Gary when working for Pepsi in Russia back in 1999. In my eyes and the rest of my operations team, Gary was always viewed as a man of the highest integrity.
So, he made an error of judgement. Who hasn't? Judge the man not on one mistake, but on his contribution to life.

It shows, I think, the high price that is sometimes paid for infidelity. However, I think it should be said that "we are not as strong as we think we are." And it applies to those who quickly throw stones at him as well as those who idolized the man.

I think it is neat to see two of his daughters post their comments and stand by their dad depsite this low point in his life. And the email he posted was very nice. But let's keep in mind that the woman who blackmailed him had a sad past which she has not really overcome. Having her dad (allegedly, according to previous posters) die when she was young and her mom a poor role model, the likely result is that she does have a very cynical view of the world. It's not to excuse, but also not so people so quickly lambast her without realizing her full story as well...

I first met Gary when he was still married to his first wife and he was cheating on her 30 years ago, with another 22 year old who is now his current wife Dana aka Zana. I see no difference between his current wife having an affair with a married man then with two children and breaking up a family and the 22 year old Jessica. The facts remain facts, he cheated then, he cheats now, and only he knows how many in between, as they say, once a cheat always a cheat. Gary came to our plant in Jacksonville about 5 years ago and was very nasty, sarcastic, and abusive to several of our management staff. His arrogance and lack of respect for lower level employees and the people who worked hard for him so many years is being repaid now with public mockery and ridicule.

I do not like to see anyone suffer, but this man who belittled others and intimidated to others with his position and authority has been exposed for what he is- a pathetic shell of a man with no morals.

I'm not a frequent visitor of this site, but this story of the Pepsi exec being extorted keeps me coming back to it. So, does anyone really believe that Gary's wife really forgave him for his actions? Plus, based on what's written here, the players from the Wandschnedier family sound a bit bizarre. What does Zana or Dana do for a living? If Gary is her 4th husband, that's too many husbands and not a very impressive track record for her. She sounds like a professional wife going from one pillow to the next. Huge turn off to any normal thinking person. I'm guessing her age might be mid to late 40's. And, these rumors about her having an affair with a doctor? This family is a bunch of weird people. How many times has Gary been married? Why wasn't Brook allowed to see her father? These postings convey he didn't want anything to do with his child. Gary and Dana/Zana deserve each other, it sounds. Putting all of that aside, I don't think Pepsi Co. should have fired this guy. Despite the activities he engaged in his private life which were wrong, it appears he was competent at his job. Does anyone know if he has found employment yet elsewhere?

Gary & his wife are not trash. They are good people just caught up in something that is really only their business. To bad simple, narrow minded people can't say something nice or just not say anything at all. Isn't there a Jerry Springer show you mud slingers are missing while writing your unsolicted comments. Is it true that Dana aka zana worked for Gary at pepsi when they had an affair while he was still married to his first wife?

If it's true, I wonder how many other female Pepsi employees he had affairs with since then? Did he use his position to get them to have sex with him? I wonder if the company is investigating any of this as sexual harrassment?

I have known Gary and Zana on a personal basis for 20 years. Zana is a very intelligent, attractive woman who has done a great job of raising her two children. Gary and I were personal friends (even though it was a boss/mentor relationship) until he rose to the stratisphere in the company, and I lost touch except during meetings or plant visits. In all of my dealings with Gary, I never observed him paying any attention to any woman other than Zana. His actions are so out of character for him. He carried the PBG Operations banner for integrity, high morals, treating people fairly and helping employees attain their professional goals. He was always friendly and courteous and preferred to be the "good cop" during plant visits, and let his Director of Ops be the bad cop.
For him to be such an intelligent person, it is a shame to make a dumb mistake like this. I feel sorry for Zana and his family.

Here's my question: why was this guy's daughter (Brook) not allowed to see him for eight years? I feel sympathy for her. I can't say the same thing about her father or his wife. Obviously, it's the lady with the two names (Zana or Dana) posting below mine. For some reason this family has a bizarre need to throw hints in their comments relating to their financial fortunes. Are they billionaires? I work in the financial field and in case they're not aware, it would probably be helpful for them to know that there are a loooooot of multi-millionaires out there. Therefore, an attitude adjustment in that respect can help their image. Also, they have a fixation with the ex-wife's family as if they're the ones caught doing something immoral and laughable. Isn't this whole thing about the Pepsi exec? In the beginning, the ex-wife's side posted supportive statements. It's clear the stars of this show are trying to deflect attention away from themselves.

What I don't get is is why the Wandschnieder's after the intitial defense of their father keep coming back to this site to rehash and reengage. They keep crying foul about privacy and trash talk but don't seem to realize they are the ones keeping this blog alive. This would have all gone away after the first five mintutes back in November. Certainly is one seething, twisted, messed up clan.
