Thus, this was no big feat. Although the guy I broke bones on tackling a guy who supposedly was the “best rugby player in Ohio” but I find that claim questionable after our encounter.
Or team always won in large part bc of what I did to opposing offenses. Double & triple teams on me had no effect. It got so bad they stopped telling me where the games were being played & then when I showed up (some guys on my team told me, lol, they wanted me there) they would cancel the games. If you knew me dude, you would have known that bc everyone at Boalt knew that.
The thing is this is what is wrong with anonymous hit pieces and slime boards like this. Anyone can say anything anonymously and try to trash someone’s good name. I am a real guy with guts & post under my real name – how about you? Exactly.

Last but not least, I do well & I am happy. I don’t need to make $100M to prove anything to you. What do you care if I decide to retire tomorrow or do charity for the rest of my life. How does that change anything I have done? You are just a hater & it amuses me to no end. It is so obvious.
I run my own show & answer to no one. If ppl don’t like me don’t do business with me, but see my clients and contacts love me. Moreover, those that don’t lose key/critical deal flow & they know that. Which is why even my haters often do deals with me (better to be needed then liked often).

Here is a newsflash, no one I deal with cares about this site. Moreover, NOTHING I have said would come as any shock to anyone that knows me – its just me. They would be entertained & laugh. So what?
See, I am not scared to be myself, lighten up, and even make fun of myself?
Why, because I am confident in my abilities & deal flow & have $ in the bank. I don’t care what you think & again those that work in my space know that I get, see, & work on many of the best deals – most can’t afford to burn me. They know that. Some have tried & it backfired badly.
In fact, one of my potential clients when checking on me asked around and came back with “I guess you are the best.” That’s all I have to say.
Again, I may never be the toast of the NYC white tie party scene & that is fine by me. I like my life WAY better. I like being well rounded and being myself.
If you think being a mindnumbed suckup who has to fake their way to the top & put up a front will get you ahead – go for it! If you think that will make you happy even when your there I would guess again.
I know many folks in that $100M-1B+ zone and some of them are great. I certainly respect their success & accomplishments.
Yet, many are not so happy & a few are a mess. That is not going to be me. I am going to be honest, be myself, and have fun all the way while always doing great work.
Let me put it another way. Almost everyone I went to school with was SOO into confroming and doing law review and blah blah. They said I was crazy to do all of my stuff (radio/TV/Politics/training pro athletes/etc.) and some shunned me (yet they wanted tickets & to go on my shows, amazing how that works – lol). I said none of this “school politics” and groupthink matters. Just learn what you need to learn and get a good job & that is it.
Well, I ended up getting the best job in the best group at the best firm for what I do. Most of them, not so much. Then I excelled & got an even better job while many of them were getting laid off, etc. etc. Now years later I have no doubt that many are doing well, but I have had quite a few call me saying “wow, you were right & we had it all wrong, can we hang out or do business, etc”.
Again, it’s no contest for me. I want everyone to do well. All I can say is my life has turned out almost perfectly for me & I am happy.
People can say a lot about me, but I am the real deal man & I bring it. I came up from NOTHING and made all of this myself & I am proud. No silver spoon here or the “old money” or the “old boys” network to get me through – just skills & hard work.
Further, I stongly believe that what makes this country great is freedom & liberty to be yourself.
Thus, if you think that I am going to “shut up” and slink away in my corner to appease you or the insecure suits your wrong.
You got the wrong guy.

As an FYI, the Boalt football story is absolutely true. This guy was unblockable and did break some rugby player’s ribs.

Everyone just needs to remember one thing: Most of what he claims to be true cannot be proved nor disproved, at least not without a substantial time investment. He can therefore continue floating his outlandish stories and get away with it because he knows virtually no one would invest the time and effort into debunking his nonsense, and even if they did, they would have no way of communicating it to the masses. Suppose you found out everything he says, or most of what he says, are either flat-out lies, or are wildly embellished? 99% of the people out there would never know, and JDV would just ignore you or call you a “hater.”
If he says he squatted 863lbs many years ago or is best friends with Mark McGwire or used to work under Mario Rosati, how many people will actually take the time to verify his stories, even assuming some of it could be verified? Probably no one would. And if you could verify it, why would you care (see, e.g., breaking a rugby player’s ribs during a law school football game, which is like bragging about winning a game of miniature golf at Scandia.)
I can’t prove that he didn’t squat 863lbs (and he can’t prove he did), and I’m not going to waste my time trying to contact Mark McGwire to see if they’re really friends. I did, however, call Wilson Sonsini and spoke to my contact there, and he said no one by the name of John D. Villarreal showed up in their database as a current or former employee. Giving JDV the benefit of the doubt that maybe the database was created after JDV left the firm, it goes back to what I was saying before… how much time and effort do we want to spend see if our suspicions are correct?
Interestingly, I saw some workout videos of him on his myspace page. I’ve always been intrigued by his “I’m 2-3 times stronger than the average man without doing anything, even stronger if I workout.” What does that mean? Does that mean he’s 2-3 times stronger than a 165lb sedentary person, or does it mean he’s 2-3 times stronger than someone his height and weight? In the first instance, it’s an apples and oranges comparison. I’m 10-12 times stronger than the average kindergartener, but so what? In the second instance – again – how could anyone ever disprove this? Will JDV pit himself in a contest against someone his size and videotape it so we can all see that yes, he really is 2-3 times stronger, or no, he’s not? He’s not going to do that. I’m sure this claim is false, but it’s just not something anyone would have the opportunity to refute.
As an aside, his videos are pitiful. He has the worst lifting form I’ve ever seen, is softer than a bag of doughnuts, and is always making some excuse about something being torn in his groin or being sick or having an injury or whatever. He’ll do a few reps with horrible form, rack the weight, and then say some nonsense into the camera like, “See?! I’m the real deal!” You swing from the pulldown bar like an orangutan and that’s supposed to be impressive? You do dumbbell curls like you’re starting a lawnmower, and that’s supposed to demonstrate arm strength?
And the IQ thing… that has got to be the most annoying of all. Who in their right mind (emphasis on right mind) cites an IQ test they took when they were in elementary school as the basis for their current IQ? I took two IQ tests in high school and scored 150 and 158 on them. Were they standardized? No. Do they reflect my adult IQ? Probably not. Therefore, I would never cite these tests as the basis for my IQ. I did, however, later take a standardized IQ test and got into Mensa, and I have the membership card to prove it, but I would never go around using it as a way of making people like me or puffing out my chest. JDV, on the other hand, makes sure everyone knows about his purported 174 IQ (which, in some of his rants, he qualifies with “I believe”), although he probably has no evidence that his IQ is actually that high, at least none beyond some probably non-standardized test he took when he was a kid.
Quite honestly, I feel sorry for him. He appears to have a real mental disorder called Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD), which is defined as a mental illness primarily characterized by extreme focus on oneself.

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I could pick out at least five of these that apply to JDV, meaning he probably has NPD, which is a bona fide mental disorder.
Simply going to Berkeley for undergrad or law school isn’t all that great. I went there, but I knew more dumbasses than I care to count who I wouldn’t trust with a cup of my piss. After all, Aleksey Vayner, the world’s second-largest douche bag, got into Yale, which just goes to show that even psychopaths can get into good schools, and look at all the similarly-outlandish claims Vayner made:

Ultimately, all of JDV’s douchebaggery results in a lack of respect, lack of credibility, and waste of talent. It’s too bad JDV doesn’t focus his energy on doing good for other people and instead focuses almost exclusively on himself.
I’m not sure if the best thing we can do is continue calling “b.s.” on him, or just ignore him completely. As for me, with the exeption of what I’ve written here, I’m going to ignore him. If you look at his myspace page, it looks like all the “real” people in the world have done the same; virtually all of his “friends” are celebrities, he has few or no “real” friends.
It would be especially tragic if someone were to actually believe all of this and then put their faith in him, only to have their dream crumble.

I knew it was wrong & well, I am JDV & stand up for myself. Thus, when they came after me I had something to say about it & was fully prepared to challenge their lies and back up my assertions about myself with cold hard facts & evidence.
Dealbreaker said they wanted to interview me (both by email (which I have) and on these very pages in comments above to “set the record straight” (kinda helps to do that before a full blown hit piece “expose” doesn’t hit. I am certain that a good part of the motivation for this entire story on me is that they are jealous and don’t like people like me. They don’t like conservatives, particularly with super high IQ’s that exceed theirs (note the insanity that is shown in railing against that). They don’t like people that don’t follow their rules (i.e. be liberal, work on Wall Street, don’t be different, do what we tell you, etc., etc.).
You see, these people are mad at life & pour that hatred into trying to control and hurt others. I am the opposite. I am not anti-anyone, just pro John. Of course, I also take great pleasure in helping and promoting others.
Look it, life is hard. Why not have fun right? When you are old & dying you will not regret what you did as much as what you didn’t do or didn’t say. You won’t worry about your money (you can’t take it with you) but moments with friends & family & great memories.

The scree by the unsigned (another wimp who wants to take shots without responsibility) Dealbreaker staff which seeks to “fact check” me but “has no time” (uh, calling me is REAL simple and many reporters have & I could provide all the facts & evidence really quickly, which actually would have been FASTER) again is reeling from having been soundly beaten!!
What’s even funnier is that this DB staff poster seeks to “analyze” how unbalanced I am & yet he is CLEARLY obsessed with me & writes this on NEW YEARS EVE for gosh sakes!!
Think about that. Instead of having a good time ENJOYING HIS LIFE he is writing a no fact hit piece comment about me on New Year’s Eve, WOW. That’s all I can say.
Anyway, right, so the fact that this is not down, they have not apologized and printed a correction, and there continues to be lies, distortions, and anonymous shots at me & am going to respond soon by way of a video on You Tube, as I do not trust this site & need to prove once and for all many points of contention.
It will get lots of views. It will be explosive. It will be funny & it will destroy the haters and the credibility of this hit piece article on me.

OH MY! This man is so funny to laugh AT on youtube (this is how I found this site, his video today was about this very article!!).
I wet myself reading the parenthetical commentaries – Its exactly the kind of thing I’m thinking when I watch his videos.
Although, you wouldn’t know it. JDV edits the comments on his videos to a insane (Narcissistic personality disorder) level. So I dont even bother.

Let me tell you my lil’ story:
I’m one of the people who subscribes to JohnDV’s youtube channel. Essentially, what we do is humour him on his youtube videos with over-the-top RAH RAH comments to fuel this guy’s ego (sometimes we dont have to do much work because JDV himself has a string of fake accounts that he makes self congratulatory comments with).
So, as a reward; he dubbs us ‘The Villa Army’ ~~~~Honestly, you can not make this stuff up!!!!
P.S. John has been trying to ‘rally the troops’ against this site by (obviously) suggesting us to complain with emails and phone calls.
I wont be.
Im suprised out of all of this that everyone failed to mention his pathetic line of fitness supplements (so many other superior products on the market its unreal).
He actually has a 6 part video where he sits in his computer chair (as usual) a flabby, out of shape mess (bearing in mind his sporting claims). Then he has the audacity to sell FAT LOSS PRODUCTS while simultaneously claiming to know a thing or two about MARKETING.
John D. Villarreal a.k.a The Super Genius! has such a big heart that it had to be stated three times apparently. I have been privy to some of this clown’s message board trolling. If he’s someone with a schtick of being an obnoxious Internet buffoon, then mission accomplished. If this is the real deal I feel bad for a person that pathetic.
Oh, and it’s also worth noting that the Super Genius saved the economy. Per one of his YouTube videos (none of which I can watch any longer than 30 seconds of, even for comedic purposes):

Hey Tolstoy, how about some Cliff Notes?
Whenever I hear about someone saying John (JDV) has a disorder or low self-esteem, I can’t help but think the authors or the comments have issues as well. You would have to be fairly unsatisfied with your life to be bothered by anything JDV purports. John is part of the new digital ecosphere for which I am grateful (the ecosphere I mean, not necessarily the JDV posts).
Like all of the other media we are presented with in this digital age; some you consider, most you dismiss out of scarcity of time. Nothing to be angry about.
However, you can almost always see something good in someone, and I encourage you to try, not for their sake, but for yours.
It’s interesting that everyone focused on the less than professional nature of his videos, without really evaluating the content. He nailed the housing crisis before it collapsed, when millions of others did not, including prestigious financial institutions, credit agencies, the Federal Reserve, and your the U.S. Government. While they did nothing, John took action. We can debate whether he did it for personal gain and take issue with the rudimentary video quality, but at least he did something. Nobody seemed to note that; just derision.
John – I encourage you to keep going on what you’re doing, BUT listen to the voices above. They have many valid points you should respond to, not in this blog, but in tailoring your message and website(s). However, your instincts are often correct and you should continue to publish and not let criticism get you down.
Strength has many forms.
I expect to hear about this guy on the news when he enters the workplace of a former employer and kills people with a cadre of weapons. He shall one day be famous, or should I say – infamous.

John is a great guy, and is PERFECT at what he does now–getting paid big bucks to interview politicians. I was fascinated watching him work last weekend at the GOP Convention in Santa Clara. I introduced him to some Ventura County politicians who are interested in his new young style.
John did a killer, over the top, long interview in a crowded hospitality room with multi-millionaire Congressman Darrel Issa. He was also hired by Steve Poizner, candidate for governor, who was interviewed the same night amid hundreds of guests at Poizner’s bash.
This guy has energy galore and is very intense. People who have there own political promotion business need to market themselves as being extraordinary, or they will be passed over. John is the real deal. Talent, energy, creativity, and impact. John is a terrific asset to the Republican Party.
The liberal Haters here are jealous. I’m also a power blogger, and used to the trolls who love to hate us and try to tear us down. It is now 2010. These old posts are funny, since they predict that John will go down the toilet. Great to see how successful John D. Villareal has become. I will definitely be sending more business his way.

Your relentless self-promotion has put you on the map in and out of California, and believe me–ALL the attention you draw to yourself is bad. I’ve heard you discussed a half dozen times in politics and you are a well-known laughingstock in your own circles. You are a walking exercise in self-parody.
