It’s Monday night and don’t kid yourself, you don’t have any plans. The most action you’re going to get tonight is from the vibrations of the treadmill as you speed walk across the belt (yeah, it’s early in the week so you better get your fanny to Equinox for at least 30 minutes cause you know it’s the only time you’re going to work-out this week). So, after your hard core Monday evening workout, we suggest you put your feet up, grab a Heineken and tune into CNBC circa 9pm. To coincide with the debut of Dr. Alan Greenspan’s publication, The Age of Turbulence: Adventures in a New World – the delicious dish, Maria Bartiromo has interviewed Dr. Greenspan delving into his “life, career and impact of the most important central banker of modern times.” We say, DVR Monday night football, get out a fresh can of cheese balls and pay close attention. We can’t think of a better appetizer to tomorrow’s main course – the Fed announcement.

I wish she would stop yelling.
Being in an insulated studio and wearing a microphone means that the trash tone you take at the dinner table is at least one notch too high.

"fanny"? "Heineken"?
Posted by , Sep 17, 2007 3:49PM
I am completely opposed to all change, including this new Myrna person.
Posted by LBhOes , Sep 17, 2007 3:50PM
Who is this Myrna Moss character, and what has she done with Bess?
Posted by i want my bess , Sep 17, 2007 3:59PM
agree with 3:49 and LBhOes.

Anon @ 3:41
She does yell a lot, huh? Go figure.

Prison Break season premier! Whaddaya mean nothing else to do?
Posted by , Sep 17, 2007 4:08PM
Anon 3:44--my thoughts exactly. Add to that: "speedwalking"? "30 minutes"? Maybe this is a Midwestern housewife's idea of hardcore. Not loving the Myrna so far, Carney.

Speaking of working the fanny - what about Maria's? That's a serious can...
Posted by Fake Lou Dobbs , Sep 17, 2007 4:24PM
Could Maria be the offspring of Mark Haines? Same mannerisms, etc.

Is this our Bess? (From Amherst re RIAA actions)
"Bess Levin ’06, who transferred to the College last year from Boston University (BU), was fined by BU during her freshman year after the RIAA informed the University that she had downloaded illegal music. “Although I don’t agree with the actions on the part of the University, their scare tactic was successful because I haven’t downloaded anything since then,” said Levin. However, she does not think the College should institute any such policy. “It was twisted logic for me to pay the school instead of the RIAA. ... I currently enjoy other people’s music via ITunes.”
I see a career coming on CNBC!!

Bess rocks.
...argh, where is she?
Posted by , Sep 17, 2007 4:39PM
Lippy, she did attend Amherst and she does download illegal music. I think that settles it.

Myrna, Myrna, Myrna... no way am I missing Redskins v Philly to watch Maria and that old man who can't speak in simple sentences. DVR that for a snow day.
Posted by just wondering... , Sep 17, 2007 4:46PM
I wonder how old and haggard Maria has to get before they pull her off the air.
Posted by dd , Sep 17, 2007 4:51PM
I think Maria looks pretty good for 50 years old !!!
Posted by LippyTex , Sep 17, 2007 4:53PM
I downloaded a lot of illegal likker when I was allegedly attending a major university in Texas long ago.
Our constitutional law professor was Nixon's lawyer back then. Charles Allen Wright.
It's nice to see a piratical side to Bess as this is the industry where "pirates" are today.

Amherst actually has an institutionally sanctioned campuswide file-sharing system, so it was constantly in the hot seat because students would blatantly post requests for DVDs, music, etc. in student forums. Which were often posted by fellow students within minutes, for all to enjoy. I miss that.
Bess is an internet pirate, though. And she'll be back tomorrow!

hey fox, the season premier was pretty good (I'd recommend it)... but it's on at 8, so it'll be all over before this on CNBC.
Posted by Fox fox , Sep 17, 2007 5:25PM
there's that new show - about cops in N'awlins, comes on right after. I do like the redskins though as an alternate, in case the new show stinks.

klw, what's the source of your Levin intel?
Posted by KLW , Sep 17, 2007 5:46PM
Well, Carney posted it in comments earlier today. But even bloggers have friends in real life :)
Posted by , Sep 17, 2007 5:57PM
klw-- let's hear more.
Posted by Fake Dr. Dean Adell , Sep 17, 2007 6:35PM
Bess could have "Zackley's Disease". There's a lot of that going around, you know.
Posted by , Sep 17, 2007 6:46PM
