Hsu has bipolar disorder and did all those awful things in the midst of a manic episode. I know that some might find it hilarious to make fun of those suffering from mental illness, but to those afflicted with them, life can be a living hell, and they would give anything for a cure.
Come on, let's not stop at mental illness...let's make fun of people with all illnesses. I know a hedge fund manager who was suffering from cancer. Following a heavy dose of chemotherapy, he was too weak to help himself get out of bed and vomited all over the floor. Isn't that disgusting?!! What a loser! How hilarious!!!

@3:05 What you fail to point out is that the mistress was making noises about going public with their relationship. Sounds to me like Hsu realized that he had taken some chances and was now about to get burned. Not so different than any bad trade that you attempt to get out of in a frenzied and stupid way.
