(Dow Jones) Citigroup (C) has quietly offloaded some $15B worth of its
troubled off-balance-sheet investment funds over the past two months, without
resorting to fire sales, "through quiet side deals with some junior investors,"
the FT reports, citing people familiar with the business. "The moves appear
likely to reduce the demand for the so-called 'super-SIV,' " FT writes. Citi
declined to comment for the article, but the paper reports its SIVs have
reduced their assets to $66B from $83B at the end of September, "by selling
pro-rata portions of a SIV's portfolio of assets to investors in the most
junior notes at market values." (PJV)

Yeah, I lost all respect for Family Guy after Trey Parker and Matt Stone made that episode of South Park mocking Family Guy. They were totally right, Family Guy is just a bunch of strung together gags rather than coherent shoe where the joke are contained within the story arc.
