Wes: Yo, dude! What did you do this weekend?
JP: Same old shit, man. You know? Chewed some ice, waterboarded myself.

Three Young Men
Try Waterboarding
And Tell the Tale
By YOCHI J. DREAZEN
January 31, 2008

RIO RANCHO, N.M. -- One night last month, Jean-Pierre Larroque drove into the desert here, lay down in the road and waited for one of his best friends to waterboard him.

Just a few hours earlier, the 26-year-old Peace Corps volunteer had been debating with two close friends whether waterboarding is torture. Finishing up a pizza dinner, Mr. Larroque casually suggested that the three settle the matter by trying it out for themselves.

They filled a two-liter Coke bottle with water, grabbed a small towel and headed to a vacant patch of dirt road in this suburb of Albuquerque. With a video camera rolling, one of the friends draped the towel over Mr. Larroque's face and began to pour.

The point here isn't that waterboarding is torture, is it? As we know from my much wiser time, torture is an effective tool to ascertain the truth. If the recipient dies, he/she/it are innocent. If they live, i.e. they admit they are terroists/witches/whatever, then they are not innocent. So, with the absolutely cool tool of torture, we have absolute proof and certainty. What's wrong with that? We all sure can use a bit of proof and certainty in this awfully confusing and uncertain world! So get over it you lefty, ex-Peace Corp softies! Start protecting our freedom for a change.

Or they admit to being/doing something they are/did not do because they enjoy living, even if it is in solitary

Kids these days. When I was a kid we didn't mess around with torture, we just loved life's simple pleasures, like huffing lysol and AEA.

i swear i just glanced up at cnbc and saw for a brief second "Britney's breakdown signals market bottom" or something like that. I attribute this sort of quality enhancement in CNBC's programming entirely to the geniuses at FBN

I'm at a loss as to why we started off down ~130 now up 115...

also someone mentioned using "real" ice munching because they're too dumb to realize "ice" = meth.

I submit they damn well know, and are most likely on "Ice" when they're chewing "ice"

20

I chew ice because i like to be high on ice not to be high on "meth" who does meth these days? what are you? from the nineties or something?

I guess I'm old school. I like to munch on carpet... If that makes me an old hetrosexual horny guy, then so be it. You all can keep messing up your minds until you drool... Then the pervert male nurse at your rehab center can get his thrills.

dont you watch Intervention or read any of stories abt the horror of drugs in the midwest....those are the ppl who are cranked out with missing teeth and who have been up for days...even the gays arent doing meth anymore

"Republican presidential front-runner John McCain, a veteran who was harshly interrogated while imprisoned in Vietnam, thinks it's torture, too."

Harshly interrogated? The man could barely walk when he was freed. Slight understatement?

Bravo, investorcluzo! I concur...only freaks who sign up for the Peace Corps would try this tomfoolery after beers and pizza. The article said the one guy is packing his bags for Uganda, his next Peace Corps assignment. He can put this on his resume when he's rounded up there and hung by his nipples for whatever reason.

26

Posted by , Jan 31, 2008 1:55PM

yeah. did anyone here see that movie Iowa? about the kids with the meth lab. you gotta see it!

AEA - auto erotic asphyxia

also: 12:09 - I did some research on the internets and it appears chicks don't have carpets any more.

Man, I miss the 70s. It was like she had Don King in the head scissors.
