Utter Disappointments

timsykes.jpgA few weeks ago we reprinted a compilation of Tim Sykes’s hate mail, which he’d forwarded to us completely altruistically besides for the request that we link to his website. There were many gems. Many ad hominem attacks. Many instances of out of the box type insults (my personal favorite: “If I fed you rat poisoning, how long do you think it would take for you to die?”). Then we dared you to do better. None of you did. The latest batch of hate mail is horrible. Flat out sucks. You need to carry your weight, do your duty and push Sykes down—in a strange way, the emails are like the ‘dunk the clown’ stand at the carnival, and you’re to hit the very small target that would register with this idiot and potentially sink his incongruously large ego. There was one message that stood out from the pack in that it sucked slightly less than the rest. It was pithy, and it had a numbered outline differentiating insults. The rest: step up. Those who didn’t email at all: failing grades.

I just saw the latest episode of Wall Street Warriors– I am not a religious man but I have to say my prayers were answered because you are not it. Thank you for not making us sit through your pathetic excuse for a life. 1. You are a loser. 2. You are a fraud. 3. Your book was horrible. 4. You are ugly.

    I understand that this website is an effort at an irreverent and typically unserious approach to a serious topic (Wall Street), but any and all posts on Tim Sykes really drag the site down.
    I enjoy the diversity of financial and near-financial topics you cover, but you do a great disservice to what little serious readership you have by promoting this guy. He really is beneath all that Wall Street is about.
    Is he a part of Wall Street? Sure. But in gambling terms, he’s the guy that walked into the casino for the first time, put all his money on black and it hit so now he thinks he a roulette expert. He’s a joke, and even he knows that is mostly true (hence his pursuit of and proclivity for marketing via Wall Street Warroirs et al. rather than making actual money).
    If DB hopes to have some credibility, please make a decision to refrain from posts that genuinely detract from an otherwise excellent and useful site.
    Bitches…
    PS: Did I miss your post destroying this year’s crop of frauds on Wall Street Warriors?

    DC, i usually agree with you, but you’re just dead wrong on this one. sykes is our britney. we hate to love and love to hate him. you posting your long ass comment about him proves interest.

    I just emailed him a great one, hopefully it makes the cut to get published next time!

    A visual representation:
    Tim’s ego:
    8===================D
    Tim (actual size)
    8==D

    Anal_yst, his ego is much bigger than that. Your drawing only appears to be about 2 inches on my screen.
    The actual size one is correct though.

    In either case, Tim appears to have what’s known as a helmet head, which can make up for lack of length. (I know these things.)

    @4:49 (|) really every day…or (*) if he’s in a bad mood.

    I was being generous in the actual depiction, and a bad judge of page to comment box width in the ego shot. I’d put the ratio of ego:reality somewhere at around ∞

    I’d rather slurp Ambien-laced cum out of the many chins of Billy Ash than read another Sykes story.

    ps: but i’m totally up for commenting on them!

    The term “fucktard” is exclusively reserved for Tim Sykes.

    He’s like a hooker and Bess is his pimp. He’s so insecure he likes getting slapped around because at least he’s getting attention.

    Bess, is that the first time you’ve used “ad hominem” in an entry? Very latin of you.

    I think sykes is a lot less of a total loser than the dorks who hate on him. I mean come on, they are jealous of a millionaire who really ain’t all that so in a way it is a reflection on Bess Levin and the other losers who hate on him more than Tim. There is nothing wrong with making a little money in America…. we are intrigued by Tim because he made money, period. As for the hate, it is because so many are so educated and so fucking retarded. My thoughts.

  19. Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2008 at 7:32 AM

    @6:01 you are pathetic

  20. Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2008 at 7:34 AM

    we are not intrigued by him. we are annoyed by him which is why we complain.
    unfortunately this has an unintended effect of raising the comment tally so they are just dying to post again. but what can we say we are wall street and we don’t know when to keep our collective mouths shut.

  21. Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2008 at 8:49 AM

    I would like to have phone sex with Tim.
    Does he have a 1-900 number for that, yet?

    @6:01 — Come on, Timmay! You forgot to include the link to your website! Always thinkin’, man.

    Do you think a couple of million dollars is alot of money? (worthy of jealousy?)

  24. Posted by Anonymous | January 31, 2008 at 11:57 AM

    Bess,
    Speaking of stepping up, what happened to your resolution to produce an 8 things that would impress me list a la Erin Burnett for all CNBC reporters / anchors for the month of January?
    Should we expect to see something for February?

  25. Posted by L'Emmerdeur | January 31, 2008 at 1:25 PM

    I would have emailed, but I couldn’t figure out how to attach a bag of feces. Microsoft really needs to open source this shit.
