We're working on those issues. Bess is about to plug the red wire into the blue slot and see if that makes things run smoother. Keep your fingers crossed.

At least you posted a hot girl. Even if it *is* the same Wallstrip girl as every day. She is hot, but how 'bout some creativity?

Ok, that sucks less.

Italics are only off in IE. Flock/Firefox is still an italicized horror.

Hate to be one of those people hating on IE, but, um, yeah. Had to switch cause IE was so bloody unstable.

Timmay on Happy Hour this Tuesday? Great! Now we can all finally figure out who is the bigger poser - Cody or Timmay. It's just too bad Cramer can't somehow attend - they could each compare the size of their 'ssholes to be who is the biggest.

Carney,

Is this site design fully customized, or is it an adjustment of something easily available like Wordpress? Just curious how people do web design now.

Keep up the good work with the site.

It's a relief that the italicizing was eliminated, at least for some. Next item on my wish list: Drop the login requirement.

I note despite the brave example of a few (Anal_yst, girl, and Bulging Bracket), not many have registered.

Pros to login requirement: Don't know. None have been offered. (What's the official justification, db? Does it have something to do with, duh, revenue?)

Cons to login requirement:

(1) threat of more spam in inbox;
(2) lurking fears of greater chance of detection when using work computer; and
(3) possibility of free-spirited creation of a special tag to add a spin to a joke or comment eliminated.

Further negative results of login requirement:

Full panoply of commenters not using their tags when posting, meaning the content has become more bland;

Comment lost if you forget to notice the tiny lettering on the left of the comment box asking if you're posting as a guest or other, and try to post in the wrong category.

(This has happened to me twice today and it's annoying to have to write the whole damn comment over again.)

Add delay in display of post to the list of annoyances. Some of us don't like to be held up while a mindless system digests our input.

[But based on his peer group, Willard might be right. But is he worried such a self-aggrandizing comment might make him sound like a douche? “There’s nothing wrong with being a little douchey sometimes,” he replied.]

Not a bad design - but i still think Timmmmmyyy has a better site! Looks like you copied a few design layout ideas from his site: http://timothysykes.com/

Charlie Gasparino gets in fight on CNBC with Dan Lufkin, http://poorandstupid.com/2008_02_10_chronArchive.asp#2468954862659660778

Excuse me, but Gasparino is not a bigger jerk than Luskin. Don is just trying to follow the party line, the Kudlow party line without showing any understanding of what the monoline problem is about. He trivializes an issue just to snipe at Spitzer. Then Don bitches on his blog that Gasparino called him a jerk, where in the transcript you could read it as Gasparino was referring to Spitzer as a jerk.

Perhaps Bess can settle this?

Kudlow and most of his guests that form his choir are as useless as tits on a bull.

@ 8:14,

Gasparino wouldn't call Spitzer a "jerk" because Gasparino made his career by leaking stuff for Spitzer 5 years ago in the Wall Street Journal. If this transcript is real and not taken out of context Gasparino doesn't understand what a write-off is. Of course who knows what was said before and the transcript probably takes things out of context.

Page Six, Dec. 24, 2007:

TENSION filled the air at Campagnola on the Upper East Side Thursday night when Gov. Spitzer - dining with his wife, Silda Wall, ex-Police Commissioner Bill Bratton and wife Rikki Klieman, and actress Linda Fiorentino - looked up to see his longtime nemesis, CNBC's Charles Gasparino stroll in. “They saw him and all kind of put their heads down," our spy said. “Then the governor looked up and said with a terse smile, ‘Oh, look, it's Charlie Gasparino! Nice haircut.' It was an uncomfortable moment." Gasparino, who's been critical of Spitzer for years, quipped, “Well, you know, Black & Decker just chipped it off," before quickly moving on.
