Job of The Week: On The Night Shift, Baby

Your jobs sucks. That's why we spent part of the afternoon combing through our Career Center in search of the most interesting jobs. There are dozens to choose from, all categorized according to specialization. But one special one has been selected as our Job of The Week.

This week we're looking to land you a night job. That's right, something for those of you who prefer to sleep the day away and only crawl out of your tomb when the sun has set. But they don't make jobs like that on Wall Street, right? Wrong. Blackrock is hiring a portfolio analytics analyst for the night shift. In support of BlackRock’s mission to provide high quality service to Blackrock's clients (in a 24/6 global support structure), you will be responsible for providing analytical support and service to both internal and external clients. The working days for this position are from Monday to Thursday and Sundays. You will work at various times from 11pm to 9am on weekdays and flexible hours on Sunday. Come on, put those skills you developed staying up all night at clubs to use.

@4:13 Why not just drive a cab like someone else is doing? As for the job itself, I will need to know if it comes with an attractive single white female assistant to keep me company on those cold, lonely nights in the big city. I'll also need a couch in my office. And free snacks and booze. And I had better not have to answer questions from any Indians or Chinese. Especially those who don't even know English (or Engrish as they say in China).

Am I weird? Those hours actually sound appealing. Mon to Wed is shot, like every job. But then your weekend starts at 9AM thurs. You give up sunday night in return, but not much happens then anyway.

It's ideal if you can sneak out to the Hamptons early Thursday morning when all the schmucks are still at work!

I had a dream where I was interviewing at Blackrock, and it was weird because it was midnight. Then Larry Fink walks in. He tells me his name is Steve Schwartzman. (I knew he was lying) He asked me if anyone had seen me enter the building. I said no. Then he asked me how bad I really wanted this job, as he towelled himself off.

I was sweating nervously as he poured what looked like a Martini into a rocks glass and handed it to me, letting his robe swish open ever so slightly.

Does this mean I'm gay?

We need to bring back our "favorite comments" feature and put that comment on it as soon as possible, 11:09. Thanks.

Hillary Clinton works the night shift, based on her ad.

And she does "real work" to boot.

@ 4:38

The hours would be perfect for the man about town, or a very responsible cocaine addict, either one.
