Deal Ron Paul Supporters (Human and/or Automated):
In the spirit of last-day-in-office pardons and stealing of "W" keys from White House keyboards, I have developed totally unsanctioned DealBreaker policy that will likely only last until someone notices this post.
Henceforth, my automated comment script will replace the text "Ron Paul" with a hyperlink to this image.
Thank you for your cooperation.

RPR! Doctor Representative Ron Paul [the Great] is the only one who can save this country.

I voted for RP in the Republican primary - I live in the East Village - was the 2nd registered republican to show up at my polling station that day -good times
Posted by guest , May 02, 2008 3:13PM
the targeted advertising on DealBreaker is balls on accurate -- i've always wanted an amish gazebo and just lifted 2 -- one for the living room and one for the mud room in my UWS classic 6.

I live in Zimbabwe and if I could vote freely and there was a black version of the great Doctor Ron Paul from the State of Texas, I would vote for him.
Posted by guest , May 02, 2008 3:16PM
you just don't get Ron. I guess we are getting the government we deserve.
Posted by guest , May 02, 2008 3:18PM
RP is a good example of what happens to a candidate that talks about doing the "right thing" for the country. Nobody wants to hear it.

politics makes my bowels move -- it's the only profession that employs more scumbags per capita than Wall St.
Posted by guest , May 02, 2008 3:21PM
I trust Ron Paul alone with my teenage daughter because he is the most virtuous man in the world.

What spirit is EP talking about? The "W" key scandal was fabricated. I hope EP is not fabricating her exit from this joint.
Posted by guest , May 02, 2008 3:23PM

Posted by guest , May 02, 2008 3:27PM
ep: you probably agree with ron paul on more topics than any other candidate, romney is too much of a politician
Posted by zzz1357 , May 02, 2008 3:27PM
ep is just trying to get more attention for Ron Paul, clearly.
Posted by guest , May 02, 2008 3:28PM
I will gladly denounce RP if it gets me some time with EP!
Posted by guest , May 02, 2008 3:29PM
It's a wan world.
Posted by guest , May 02, 2008 3:30PM
I'm so glad EP is leaving.
Posted by StupidEquityGuy , May 02, 2008 3:30PM
EP,
What do you think about the FED accepting used car loans for collateral now...
I was at first shocked, but then I realized it made more sense... There is more scrap value in a car then your average house. So realistically, the FED is actually accepting a higher grade asset then it was with the mortgages it was accepting...

Go Ron Go!!! We can do it!!

Ron Paul delivers babies without his hands. He simply reads them the
Bill of Rights and they crawl out in anticipation of freedom.

the constitution."

It is so frustrating to know that Chelsea will not be eligible to take over the family business after the Hill years.
Damnit! We have to change the laws in this country. Clearly she will be more qualified than anyone .... ever, just from having parents as Prez.
Posted by guest , May 02, 2008 4:03PM
3:46 - i'd hit that. she's kinda a hottie to boot
Posted by guest , May 02, 2008 4:10PM
@blndebnker they can't take a woman who is more versed in the ways of fin-a-nce than their little 1st year analyst selves are.
long live ep. will miss you.
oh and f ron paul
Posted by guest , May 02, 2008 4:14PM
@4:10 Agree. The quality of the discourse has risen substantially with the appearance of ep. Gonna miss you. GAnalYst

GAnalYst-
Thank you!
Posted by american bandersnatch , May 02, 2008 4:28PM
I'll miss her too. I think dealbreaker is stronger with EP. Much like the old triad stategic defense (ICMBs, subs and bombers), we'd be better off with Bess (sex and scandal), EP (financial issues) and Blarney (rice). We cannnot allow a financial isssues gap!
Posted by mrpink , May 02, 2008 4:29PM
Come back and post sometime EP.. Things are going to get quieter around here without you... Monday morning, we shall return to the normal complaints about 'grammar' in the posts.

Pink: this is yr weekend for Black Party, Philla yes? Have fun. We DON'T want a full report. GAnalYst
Posted by mrpink , May 02, 2008 4:49PM
GAnalYst-
Yeah, this is indeed the weekend for it. Sadly, a change in plans, I'm headed off to Chicago.. family is in trouble. Gosh darnit, I was all packed up too, but things change.
Have a good weekend all, don't drink all the beer at Ulysses (or eat all the oysters, Ian)... I want some when I return Sunday.

Very funny remark. Thanks.

ep - If this is your final day, thank you for guest editing and posting. I learned some stuff from you! Please ignore the ep haters; they're merely insecure.

you must be blind

"There is more scrap value in a car then your average house. So realistically, the FED is actually accepting a higher grade asset then it was with the mortgages it was accepting... "
Don't forget, cars can be repossessed, put on a truck and moved from Miami to Dallas and sold. You can't pick a crappy guido-ed out condo from Miami and move it to a place where people actually have jobs to sell. In a real estate crisis, I'll take the portable collateral thanks :)

@5:08PM
"Don't forget, cars can be repossessed, put on a truck and moved from Miami to Dallas and sold. "
Ahh, reminds me of the movie Repo Man:
The guys that make it are the guys that get in their cars at any time. Get in at 3am, get up at 4. That's why there aint a repo man I know that don't take speed. -- Bud (Repo Man)
I can see it now. The laidoff WS guys getting jobs as repo men working for the Fed. Finance is never a dead end job.
Posted by onetwo , May 02, 2008 5:35PM
EP, it goes without saying, that you know i'll miss you. But I said it anyways. Sweet irony.
F Ron Paul
"Portable Collateral"=great term
And lastly, did you guys really check out today at 2:30????
Posted by guest , May 02, 2008 5:45PM
Hey ep, your good bye is up there with those reporters getting the heave-ho at the WSJ.
Posted by guest , May 02, 2008 6:21PM
That was outstanding! Your best post yet!
Posted by guest , May 02, 2008 6:45PM
I see nothing but a humble honest man with integrity sitting there in that chair. He's exactly what America needs. He's got my vote.
Posted by guest , May 02, 2008 8:42PM
Thank you for the funny photo of Ron Paul.
Posted by guest , May 02, 2008 10:03PM
Anyone who would post a nasty piece like this based on someone's SHOES, proves the stupidity of the masses and how they swallow the government lies and why we have the BAD GOVERNMENT WE HAVE, lurching toward totalitarianism and bankruptcy.
You will get the government you deserve -- and dangerous people like Hillary, Obama and McCain get elevated.
SCUM RISES to the top I guess.
Thank you Ron Paul for being you -- WE LOVE YOU and you are the only honest stateman who deserves to be president and who is telling the public the truth.
Your detractors have not yet graduated from their high school mentality.

EP
Love you
Ron Paul is a CHIMP
Posted by guest , May 02, 2008 10:33PM
I think this quote is pretty well appropriate for this:
“Don't criticize what you don't understand, son. You never walked in that man's shoes.”
-Elvis Presley
Posted by guest , May 02, 2008 11:01PM
fuck you
Posted by guest , May 03, 2008 12:26AM
Ron Paul is wasting his time. The majority have degenerated to the point they don't understand freedom, which they will happily trade for a nanny state that supplies the entitlements. Bye bye constitution your a dead letter.
Posted by guest , May 05, 2008 9:11AM
hey ron we've been on the gold standard before guess what? we almost went bankrupt.
Guess no one cares if you promise that they won't have to pay their taxes...
Posted by guest , May 05, 2008 9:41AM
@10:03 You can tell a lot about a person from their shoes. Ditto teeth. Think about it.
Posted by guest , May 05, 2008 9:42AM
Forget the gold standard. Free Silver! LaRouche '08!
Posted by guest , May 05, 2008 9:43AM
@9:11 Not that I'm a fan of the gold standard, but I believe the problem was that the price of gold was at the time fixed.
