I was watching ABC for a moment because the fucking desk head went to the shitter and we conned the intern from Texas A&M to flip to the Weather Channel while the boss was "dropping Osama off at the pool", so to speak. It was during that channel switch that we saw WB. When the desk head is around we have to watch the fucking Fox News Channel all day long with brief glimpses of the Weather Channel from time to time. With oil and gas as high as they are, the desk head thinks its God's reward to him for being a Fox News watching neo-con.

The lady on the soap pronounced "Buffett" hilariously as "Boof-ay". Hilarious.

Didn't GS have a guy at some high level in mortgages just leave after 20 successful years? That guy is a Texas A & M grad. Texas A & M may strike you as nothing more than a southern aggie school, but believe me, they have an unbelievably fierce tradition of loyalty which translates into one grad helping another grad -- for life. A lot of their graduates go into finance. So if there is a Texas A & M intern, there probably is a Texas A & M grad in management.

The current governor of Texas was a yell-leader at Texas A & M. That might strike you as an insignificant accomplishment, but it catapults one into the highest echelon of Texas A & M bonding. He got to be governor of Texas in part because of his statewide network of loyalists from A & M.

@5:55pm. I know it sounds gay, but if you saw a Texas A & M yell-leader in uniform (which looks like a military uniform) and yelling his head off at a game, it would probably strike you as more scary than gay.

@6:17pm. You'd probably regret saying anything about the competence of the engineering school and the collapse of the bonfire anywhere in the vicinity of College Station or a Texas A & M grad.

Although most of the ags on the street are good guys, the rest - for good reason - remain the butt of ridicule and scorn back in Texas. It's hardly surprising that it's come out in the past year or so that the former yell-leader turned governor is a deeply-closeted player for the other team.

And the bonfire was a disgrace. Is that really the issue you want to draw a line in the sand for?
