Theory: This Was Actually Intended Soley For Jimmy Cayne But They Had To Send It To Everyone So As Not To Embarass Him

The (very) internal Bear memo we just received is from December and yet, we feel the message bears repeating (at regular intervals, which perhaps is the case for the original recipients, who need to be reminded about this stuff). For the employees who've seen this before--whether you're unsure about plans for the future or are getting ready to head over to JPMorgan--please note that the guidelines found within should probably be heeded even after you leave BSC. For Jamie Dimon-- who clearly had no idea what he was getting himself into-- it's not too late! You can still back out of this thing. Or, at the very least, start making some calls to ensure that the Bear employees you've fired your own to make room for are housed in a quarantined area...like Citigroup.

Dimon better beware. If he wants to fire these Bear guys, he's gotta get ready for the "AFTER-MASH".

8

Posted by guest , May 15, 2008 10:35AM

You guys are getting better. It took you like an hour maybe to take down the pic of Tanner. Who, BTW, is still the one to beat. GAnalYst

11

12

Posted by guest , May 15, 2008 10:40AM

@10:36-- who has db gotten fired, exactly?

13

Posted by guest , May 15, 2008 10:42AM

@10:40-- the common sense not to use it? what the fuck do you think dealbreaker is, a knitting circle? this is a wall street tabloid, that's exactly the stuff they're supposed to post.

14

Posted by blndebnker , May 15, 2008 10:45AM

Shame on you, 24th Floor male employees. SHAME ON YOU.

And too bad they took that down. That blondie looked hot. Boo.

16

Posted by guest , May 15, 2008 10:57AM

@GAnalyst-- tanner, i.e. the guy who was so smart as to pose in a towel with his employer's name next to his face. stupid guys + posts coming down = db is a bunch of softies.

17

Posted by Investorcluzo , May 15, 2008 10:57AM

18

Posted by Investorcluzo , May 15, 2008 10:59AM

disregard prior post, didn't see the earlier discussion - too focused on figuring out if my internet was bad

19

Posted by guest , May 15, 2008 11:00AM

I heard db took it down because all the fags and wanna-be traders on wall st couldnt stop waxing their carrots while looking at the pic

20

Posted by guest , May 15, 2008 11:06AM

Haha... waxing your carrots.

Is this much talked about trader pic still up anywhere else on the net? Somehow missed it today.

25

Posted by guest , May 15, 2008 11:36AM

It was nothing compared with Tanner. The totem against whom all others are measured. GAnalYst

26

Posted by guest , May 15, 2008 11:43AM

What happened to the Citi Trader picture?!

27

Posted by guest , May 15, 2008 11:48AM

Where can I find a picture of this mythical Tanner? Images of this grand icon surely exist somewhere.

29

Posted by guest , May 15, 2008 12:06PM

You ruined it. He put on like 50 pounds since the original DB post. We need to identify a new totem. Damn. GAnalYst

30

Posted by guest , May 15, 2008 12:09PM

It took the picture disappearing for you guys to notice the censorship going on at DB?

31

Posted by guest , May 15, 2008 12:09PM

Just trying to make sure you don't blow your load too early in the trading day

32

Posted by guest , May 15, 2008 12:10PM

GAnalyst-- u don't know...original post could've been a later pic?

33

Posted by guest , May 15, 2008 12:11PM

DAMN DAMN DAMN What is it about you straight boys. You always let yourselves go. GAnalYst

34

Posted by guest , May 15, 2008 12:11PM

@12:09-- is it censorship if it's self-imposed?

Where the heck did the story "Citi Never Sleeps, Except On Days It's Trading Below 50" just disappear to??

37

Posted by Investorcluzo , May 15, 2008 12:43PM

@12:20 - didn't you know vikram has his own "cleaner"...not only did he put a little duress on carney and bess to take down the picture, but he also got the guy removed from the desk.

or was it that the guy in the picture got a call from HR and pleaded with db to take it down before he got put out on the street for being an a$$clown...just askin'

@GAnalYst - does the fact that you liked the guy in the citi pic mean that you are into "bear" types?

38

Posted by blndebnker , May 15, 2008 12:43PM

Screw Tanner...I'll take Kevin Witt on the left. HELLO.

39

Posted by guest , May 15, 2008 1:48PM

cluz: No, bears not my thing. And the Citi guy's not within 100 pounds of being a bear. Nor is he a bear cub, which is a 20 something bear, hairy but more husky than fat. He does though have jaguar tendencies, which is a younger built guy that's hairy. You want to see bears, go to The Dugout, at the western end of Christopher Street. Go if you want to start a diet - guaranteed you wont eat for a few days after a visit there. GAnalYst

pink: no, check the link posted at 12:03. Turns out that our boy Tanner has turned into a little chubette. You're not going to believe how much he's porked up. Time to find some new meat.

FYI...the 24th Floor at Bear Stearns was designated for Private Client Services (giving new meaning to the phrase "Dirty Money")

Believe it or not, these signs were put up in both the ladies and mens bathrooms throughout the firm--thank goodness for Purell!!

Now the 24th floor will be gutted and made into a JP Morgan trading floor (thanks Jimmy Cayne)
