Who Stands Out In A Bad Way At CNBC?

Last week we pointed out a feature in Marie Claire magazine in which CNBC anchor Becky Quick posed as a "Fashion Expert" telling a twenty-something bond trading girl how to dress for Wall Street.

We couldn't help but notice that it seems Becky offers a veiled insult at one of her fellow CNBC anchors when she says: "Don't [wear] bright colors, you'll stand out at the stock exchange and not in a good way."

After the jump, check out who at CNBC stands out in that way.

Agreed, She is cute. However I wonder how long it takes her to get to the trading floor from The Shire... Look at her next to Mark.

Trish Regan and Melissa Francis often wear bright yellow, pink or blue, but Becky probably hates Erin most of all.

Becky better watch her backside. At the very least, Erin will probably key her car...or break into Becky's place and leave her an upper-decker.

except that becky was talking about people who actually work on the floor (who shouldn't stand out) and not people who report from the floor (who most certainly should). nice analysis, carney.

Burnett bulges my bracket!

Where's the most famous dress of all (granted it wasn't worn on the floor). I want a giraffe pic!

I agree with 9:50. Journalists working on the exchange should stand out. Actual employees shouldn't.

By the way, Becky wears her share of bright colors herself. Hot pinks, oranges, reds. But she too is a journalist, and doesn't work on Wall Street, she reports about it.

And the picture of her in Marie Claire -- she's sporting a really drab suit with bad pockets. Many successful women on Wall Street wear fashionable clothes including bright colors as part of their outfit. It's usually the junior banking types that wear the drab uniforms like the one Becky is wearing.

Erin was hotter at 19 years old playing field hockey.

Becky is cute but going to get fat soon.

Lindsay beats them both. Where'd that hottie go?

Bugs,

Is your bed located on a softball field? She's a beast!

No way, Trish could be a real fashion model. She's exquisite.

33

Posted by Bugs Meany, Jun 19, 2008 11:12AM

The CNBC cameras must add a few lbs., because Trish most definitely has a great body (which the regular NBC cameras pick up).

@bugs - well there goes 1/2's chance!

40

I like Becky Quick as a reporter. Occasionally her smile seems a little forced.

I'm not on the same wavelength as the people crazy about Erin Burnett. There is something elegant about her, true, but often she says some dumb things. Like the problems of the regional banks seemed worse because they were based on soured mortgages and the problems of the Wall Street banks were related to complex derivatives. Teaming her up with Mark Haines makes it seem like a father - daughter show. They are also very mismatched visually.

Wow. What is with Brennan's FUPA? Preggers or Haagen-Dazs?

Amanda Drury is smarter and much more professional than Erin Burnett.
Erin Burnett doesn't is so unprofessional, spends half of the time trying to be the center of attention and the other half laughing and making jokes!!
