    posting from Zurich, where all is calm on the Paradeplatz. It’s fair to say the gnomes would sooner give up their army than their beloved UBS. Some doofus professor in the afternoon paper (Blick Am Abend) even claimed the only way they could stay independent was to merge with CS.
    Hah! We’d digest it like a double-malt and double cheese from the Shake Shack, which is to say not at all.
    The SNB is not making matters easier with the proposed new capital requirements, though it’s nice to finally see someone with the balls to admit Basel II is a failure.
