And Marshmallows For Everyone!

At this time, in light of Wachovia's not so good second quarter, I want everyone to get up on his/her chair and shout "I love Wachovia," while dancing, which is not only a team building exercise for WB first years but 95 percent of CEO Robert Steel's master plan for pumping the stock. Unless of course you are planning on making some $$$ on what Bove thinks is an around the corner fall--lookin' at you, Paulson--in which case, please proceed with your refrain of choice, "Let's burn this motherfucker down."

Anybody know if the eventual, or not, Wachovia Securities sell will have any substantial effect on the IBD folks?

I don't have a dog in the fight, but was curious. Figured it would just effect their retail brokerage side.

12:19...depends on who does the buying. If its JPM or GS, almost all of em are toast. Brokerage will remain mostly entact, although you caqn bet your britches there will be substantial attrition (the buyer will most likely want to move HQ from STL - where it has been for less than a year - to NYC)

#3, the word is "affect" NOT "effect"...i hate it when people do that! you used the right one in the first sentence; why not in the 2nd?

anyway, of course no one knows for sure what will happen at Wachovia. That's why its pure speculation.

ok, i'm hungry...shake shack time.

I hate it when people don't use capital letters to start sentences and mix ordinals with ordinary sequentials. #3 may be ignorant, but that's fixable. #6, you're just lazy.

Oh, wait... #3 isn't ignorant. He's right, you're wrong. (His usage of "effect," as a noun, is correct in the sentence. Your substutition of "affect," as a noun, would be improper usage.) So you're ignorant *and* lazy. Nicely demonstrated.

Oh, crap. I fell victim to the Correction Rule.

All corrections will contain at least one error.

Fuck.

I give up.

Predicting the future now, are we?

I don't know if they "will," but my corrections generally have not contained errors. Otherwise, it is inherently incorrect to call them corrections in the first place.

....just fuckin' with ya.

Anyway, is anyone else getting their bonus number tomorrow or Thursday? I am cautiously optimistic that I won't get a turkey sandwich and a pat on the back....
