Jim Cramer is a hack. He should NOT be allowed to be on television touting stock picks. Go to youtube and put in Cramer and contradiction and you will be shocked at what you see.
I dislike cramer for the usual reasons, but he does remind people to do their homework.
Not his fault that his followers are largely sheep and take what he says in a 30 second schpeil as THE final word.
Anyone know if anyone’s ever tried to game his audience’s trading on his word?
post the paper – i’d like to see too.
in terms of cramer’s track record on calls like this, it’s typically safer to bet the other way. just think, if we listened to cramer in march, we’d probably be the largest shareholders of bear. people should know better and if they don’t, then they deserve what hits them. with that said, i’ve had puts and straight up shorts on WaMu for months now and will be happy ride it all the way to delisting.
@ 4:09 PM, i also like how ARS is writing about the private pilots’ bbq at sun valley. b/c we really give a shit about that.
I subscribe to TheStreet.Com’s Real Money Silver package, which of course, prominently features Cramer’s “stream of consciousness” musings during the trading day. Following his comments scrupulously, I haven’t lost one cent since the October highs. Thank you, Jim.

The fact that apparently your investment strategy includes taking positions based on Cramer’s (or anyone’s) recommendation tells me you have lost and will continue to lose money.

@3:59 – I don’t see why you’d be shocked by the fact that Cramer contradicts himself. It’s been known for years.
If I say it will fail, I’m a rumor-monger, but if I say I’m long, I’m just an idiot.
I vote…maybe…
Speaking of no-talent ass-clowns, good to see Andrew Ross Sorking runnin’ his mouth in Sun Valley, like he’s above it all…

Hey Carney, can you confirm the reported Ashley Dupre sighting?

@analyst – I wrote my senior thesies on it. If I can dig up the paper somewhere, I’ll post my results.
Meant thesis.

@4:40–What happened with Bear? Do tell. Also, “we” would not have been Bear’s largest shareholders even if “we” had listened to Cramer.
I did my senior feces on Cramer.
It looks like more folks from Fox Business Network are here trying to undermine Wall Street’s poster boy
