EDGAR cost nothing to small investors who wanted to do research. IDEA, no doubt, will end that tradition. If not to begin with, it will happen soon.

I wonder how the IRS calculates net worth. It's not on any tax form so they must be backing into it somehow. They do have income, mortgage interest and capital gains but even with historical data it's a big stretch to see how that gets you to net assets.

Congrats on Dealbreaker being featured so prominently on the "highbrow/lowbrox" matrix in NYM.

I really appreciated the postings about the Georgia/Russia conflict, and they were the most informative articles available in the media at the time.

I am pessimistic about the survival of both Lehman and Merrill Lynch, and I think Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are both going down.

why should ML go down? Maybe wounded, but under it all a good solid retail franchise. As far as that being enough to get the stock price back up, dont think so, but I doubt the place is going to fail.
