    Cuts McCain and Bush off at the knees. 2nd stimulus pkge is cover for Congressional Democrats who didn’t like a “bailout of Wall Street.” And if it doesn’t pass, they still look good for putting it out there and not letting it get in the way of the necessary bailout bill, and they force Republicans to vote against a stiumuls pkge. If it passes, fuck it, a few billion more and we might be talking abt some real money here

    Too bad about “no questions” – someone should ask if the deal involves sweetheart loans for the rest of us like Dodd received as a “Friend of Angelo”.

  32. Posted by guest | September 25, 2008 at 2:13 PM

    What is a “trial balloon”? Other sites are reporting that this is included in the bill and the reason why we are not being given any details.

  33. Posted by guest | September 25, 2008 at 2:16 PM

    @4, your best work!

  34. Posted by guest | September 25, 2008 at 2:23 PM

    if Gasparino says so it must be true…. afterall his sources have been claiming mass Merrill layoffs every day since February…. when will someone bring out the Gimp and take care of this retard?

  35. Posted by guest | September 25, 2008 at 2:28 PM

    They just showed a picture of Gasparino when he spoke. Is he on special assignment (i.e. in the bushes at Dick Fuld’s place in Greenwich hoping for an ambush interview)?

  36. Posted by guest | September 25, 2008 at 2:28 PM

    I have some poker losses from last night I would like covered in the plan, ok?

  37. Posted by guest | September 25, 2008 at 2:29 PM

    Did Dodd have to ‘consult’ with BofA on this one too?

  38. Posted by guest | September 25, 2008 at 2:44 PM

    Perfect!!!

  41. Posted by Phobos | September 25, 2008 at 3:05 PM

    @30
    The answer to your questions, as repeatedly posted are this:
    There’s a theory about that the downfall was intentional and planned, and that knowing it was coming PE firms and certain Ibanks set aside funds and bought corporations in anticipation; after the fail they would emerge as the holders of everything. Effectively holding all wealth.

  42. Posted by guest | September 25, 2008 at 4:27 PM

    @ 22! But whad is the point of the package?

  43. Posted by guest | September 25, 2008 at 6:11 PM

    @11 Pelosi couldn’t stimulate me!

  44. Posted by guest | September 25, 2008 at 6:14 PM

    @28/29 – you’re a dimwitted douche.
    Stop rolling up Obama’s bowel-movements into little balls and learn to think for yourself.

  45. Posted by guest | September 25, 2008 at 6:16 PM

    @17 THAT is the greatest question I’ve heard yet!
    Unfortunately, Barney’s lips flap way to much for him to answer.
    It really is digusting to watch talk, especially when he realizes he deserves to be mailed to the back of an out house and left to be picked apart by crows.

  46. Posted by guest | September 25, 2008 at 6:24 PM

    Dodd’s probably still looking for a pardon from Bush following the investigation of some of his ‘off-market’ mortgages, courtesy of the Tan Man himself, Angelo Mozilo. Good for you, Dodd, sell the country down the river. Get another weekend place for yourself, while you’re at it.

    ***Breaking News***
    Senate officials leaving the White House summit this evening announce no deal is done. They also admitted to making their previous statement in an attempt to make “that greasy meatball, Gasbagarino, look like the fool he is”.
