For the sad soul who is both incontinent and destitute, and for nobody else. Conventional wisdom says that any savings that may result from using generic personal-hygiene products are subsumed by the discomfort that users must endure. This is doubly true for generic adult diapers. Unless you are impoverished, or a masochist, there is no reason to go generic. The savings are minimal, and so is the quality.
I tested three different store brands: Target (Affirm), Walgreens (Certainty), and Kroger (Kroger), all of which were similar in price (low) and quality (low). The simple verdict: Don't use the store brand if you have any plans at all to do anything that day besides change your adult diaper.
My experience with Kroger was particularly memorable, which isn't a good thing when it comes to diapers. They were about as absorbent as a drainpipe, sagging under the weight of the water and leaking like Daniel Ellsberg. These pull-on-style diapers went on easily and didn't actually feel too bad when I wore them dry, but years of using my congenitally cheap roommate's Rite-Aid-brand toilet paper has steeled me for discomfort.
Eventually I consumed enough liquor to muster the courage to wear them wet. Unfortunately, consuming all that liquor also mustered enough urine to make the testing process one of the more unpleasant experiences of my life. The diaper swelled until it could swell no more, at which point streams of urine began running down the sides of my legs. Even though I had locked myself in a bathroom to perform the test, I still feel unaccountably ashamed, as if God were laughing at me—a feeling made worse by my inability to exit the diaper. The Kroger diaper features quick-release strips on its sides so that wearers can rip the sides for a quick and easy exit. But the strips didn't immediately rip, and I just stood there stymied for a few seconds, tugging ineffectively at a wet adult diaper and feeling as if there must be easier ways to make a living.
Afterward, I headed directly to the shower.

His inability to make a decision, his lack of any actual substantive ideas, his poor off-the-cuff speaking skills, his recent "my muslim faith" comment, his utter lack of experience, his long-term friendships with radicals, his choice of Biden as VP, his recent dispatch of 30+ lawyers/investigators to Alaska to try to find some dirt on Palin, his childish, personal attacks on McCain and Palin, his support of sex education for kindergarten kids, and his emptysuitedness all point to a stunning defeat for obama in November.
Just saying "change", "more of the same", "hope", "same old thing", "new direction", "lies & more lies", without giving any specific particulars defines obama's whole campaign.
In the history pages of failed democrat left-wing presidential candidates, obama will join McGovern, Mondale, Dukakis, Gore, and Kerry. That's where he belongs.

165 et al Its hard to say why someone is qualified. What you want is someone that's capable of making good decisions. Experience is part but not all of that. You can argue McCain vs. Obama, depending on what your focus on, one better than the other. But both are qualified. SP though???? A total zero, yet her charm and sass appeal to a large part of the electorate. Scary stuff. Has she ever been to NY? Does she know anything about financial markets? Does she have a world view? She's presiding over a state that's like nowhere else. Basically sit there and let the oil royalties and federal money roll in. And serve as a safe haven for a lot of people running away from things, seeking solitude. Repeat: scary stuff.

I have some old 486 computers that JC can borrow to help with the comments section upgrades. More than enough power to justify the upgrade hassle- 66mhz, 16MB RAM and 200MB hard drives. The exteriors have stickers all over them and the led lights don't blink anymore, but none of this should bother you as you'll be more than pleased with speed boost that comes with pushing the "Turbo" button.

The first 2 minutes were a rerun of last Monday's Dow +290, Cramer screaming how the financials had bottomed because of FRE/FNM, etc.
It then abruptly switched into today's "real" show.
Was it deliberate or accidental? Anyone with the scoop?
