Pissed off about the poaching of employees, JPMorgan has stopped trading with Citadel. Though Dimon's employees have been fleeing to the Chi-town hedge fund for some time, the tipping point for the bank was apparently yesterday's resignation of Greg Boester. Clearing has been left alone, but trading desks have been banned from Citadel until the firm stops hiring its people.

Arrogance is, in part, what led to where we are today. Jamie D. take note.

Boester is a D bag. They can have him.

how'd you get that name? db is in bed with citadel

It seems like there has been animosity here before...Didn't Amaranth sue JPM for allegedly interfering with potentially more profitable Citadel bailout of Amaranth? (I think JPM and Citadel jointly wound up holding Amaranth...).
I like Ken Griffin. The fact that he's poaching from JPM makes a lot of sense - If I were a hedge fund titan, JPM would be on the short list of place's I'd go*. In fact, its almost a compliment.
*Admittedly, I know nothing about Greg Boester.

Isn't Citadel a college in South Carloina. What do they have to do with Morgan Stanley?
Posted by DrederickTatum , Sep 18, 2008 1:37PM
It's also possible that these JPM executives have been to Chicago, seen it, and decided to have nothing to do with New York ever again.
It's called the "Ferris Bueller effect." Working for Ken Griffin is just a bonus.

what are Citadel associate numbers?

Bess you did it again. Kudos.

I understand from reliable sources within the Uncle Sam organization that the name Greg Boester is on the list of financial terrorists who are to be rounded up and destroyed.
Very public examples are to be made of the most grevious offenders.
Enjoy your brief time at Citadel, Greg, because soon you won't have enough money for bus fare back to New York.
Clowns...
Don't think this can't happen. The public anger with Wall St has about reached explosive proportions.

"who would you rather work for, a deposit taking commercial bank or a cutting edge aggressive hedge fund"
Hey asshole, Just what we need, more "cutting-edge, agressive" financial products.
We have plenty already, thanks.
