What is the matter with elitism? Why do we aspire to be lead by mediocraty?

Lets face it both democrat and republican candidates are from the elite class. So dispense with the arguement and choose which member of the elite class you want to go with.

But don't pretend that the guy with 8 houses and a wife worth $200 million or the other guy with a harvard law degree and a wife with the same are not memebers of the elite class - they both are!

This country needs to start aspiring to elitism, again!

I agree, you have to be smart to run this country. I'm saying you shouldn't be disqualified JUST based on where you went to school. I'm bothered by the fact that it took her 6 years. I guess my post was "too long to read."

Harry Reid got an associate degree then graduated from Utah State. He's running the senate (when Cheney's not around). Nancy Pelosi went to Trinity University in DC (whatever that is). And some people bump around college and never finish.

The whole rant was more along the lines of us Wall Street people being elitist jerks about where we went to school, when you darn well know half the people in our classes at the Harvards/Whartons/etc.'s were filled with Bushes and not Obamas.

Has it occurred to anyone else that McCain might be ill? He canceled a Late Night appearance, read from the Teleprompter, and took no questions. McCain is an older fellow, and this behavior lets him slide into the pack of Congress with an excuse, unlike a 90-minute debate where it would be difficult to pretend that he is hale and hearty.

Let’s be honest people. If you think that wasn’t a political move the box on your electronic voting screen should be disabled. A couple of points:

1.) They both have planes, which last time I checked go fairly fast.
2.) They were almost done w/agreeing to the terms.
3.) The president of the U.S. should be the ultimate multitasker, if you can’t do many things at once…you should redo your job search criteria on monster.com
4.) 9pm Friday night you’re going to be working?
5.) McCain hasn’t voted since April.
6.) McCain acknowledged economics isn’t his ‘thing’, YET somehow in 48 hours he’s going to become the Adam Smith? http://www.opinionjournal.com/editorial/feature.html?id=110007600

7.) Obama called HIM at 8 am to talk about a joint statement.
