We don't want to add to the "intense public scrutiny" that got Lehman Brothers into this problem in the first place but: will the plans announced during LEH's fireside chat this morning help the bank "return to profitability" as CEO Dick Fuld claimed they would? Many are skeptical, including but not limited to a bespectacled Charlie Gasparino, David Trone, Paul Kedrosky, Portfolio (which wrote that LEH and Fuld "scratched out a single at best") and uh, every else polled on the subject.
