This shit is getting depressing. Which is why I'm going to bury my head in the sand on this one and assume they're all just lining up for second Thursday of the month blow jobs, which happen in the London Lehman office. Who's with me?

[With thanks to 'guest,' for alerting us to this creepy-ass shot!]

That chick in the middle of the picture gets bukkake'd at the end of the meeting. No joke.

@11 its ladder...fucking rookie

14

Posted by guest , Sep 11, 2008 2:41PM

I hate to be that guy, but given the date today, but my gut reaction was to think of the shots of people jumping from the towers. I don't know what this says about me, but I don't like it.

15

#8 RIGHT ON!

It means you should see a psychologist.

17

Posted by RAW DOG , Sep 11, 2008 2:44PM

@14 - It means BL has no frame of reference and is perhaps just purposefully cold hearted.

18

#14 jump!

19

I agree with #8 but only because #15 does too.

Unfortunately, some images are burned (sorry for the pun) into your brain.

is someone wearing a skirt in the third pane from the left?

23

@7
forget khakis, why not wear shorts and a tanktop? It's probably their last day of work no matter what...

28

Posted by guest , Sep 11, 2008 2:52PM

#20 I see it too. The ghost of Erin Callan rising to exact her revenge?

29

Posted by guest , Sep 11, 2008 2:53PM

@26-- what's your point?

30

Posted by blndebnker , Sep 11, 2008 2:53PM

@24 & 28 - See I knew something more was there.

31

Posted by guest , Sep 11, 2008 2:53PM

Could it be that those employees were taking a moment of silence to honor those lost seven years ago? That would be my best guess. How many of the posters here did something that decent?

32

DOES BESS LEVIN EXIST!!!!!

Christ! For a second, I thought that was one of the high power lens photos from the WTC on 9/11. I hate this fucking day

35

Posted by guest , Sep 11, 2008 2:54PM

@31-- dude, I am completely respectful of those who were lost on 9/11 but that is not what's happening in this picture.

36

Posted by guest , Sep 11, 2008 2:55PM

@31 That's the London office. I doubt it

37

Posted by blndebnker , Sep 11, 2008 2:56PM

@31 - That is clearly not what they are doing. Not to mention, I think a decent amount of people did, myself included. So don't go around judging so much.

just got word that "Cashflow" by Ace ft. Rick Ross is blasting across the trading floors of LEH...apparently Fuld was seen running around with a flat brim Yankees cap screaming "WE DA BEST"

88

89

Posted by chad , Sep 11, 2008 3:42PM

The guy all the way to the right didn't get any cake. He didn't get any cake last time and they said that this time he would definitely get a piece of cake.

@87 lol, i almost left the same comment verbatim - including the idiot part. no vendors/factors to wash in banking.

91

Oh photo-doubters: click on the picture above to go through to the Reuters website it comes from. Note the caption there.

Breakdancing or stock photo or not, Reuters claims this is real (UK) time shot of a LEH conference room in London. Next you'll be claiming Ron Paul doesn't eat mayo. Haters.

huh?

93

@ 88

No Goldman would pose the original bet (81) then they would inform everyone that chapter 11 doesnt apply to financials (87), then they would suggest to take the other side of the original bet (88) and then get congress to pass vast bankruptcy law overhall and redefine chapter 11...

96

Posted by guest , Sep 11, 2008 4:12PM

Cluz: what do you think of delFrisco's? You seem a discerning guy. I personally find it at the low end of all the choices. Filled with fat boys in khaki pants. Feels like Houston - which is logical, since that's from where it camd. Steaks are only OK. If I had to choose it would be original Palm or, if a hipper crowd/customer, BLT Prime. Maybe just me - I think Luger is overrated as well. Your thoughts? GAnalYst

97

Posted by guest , Sep 11, 2008 4:14PM

so exciting to watch a bank go straight to hell!

98

Posted by Investorcluzo , Sep 11, 2008 4:24PM

@GAnalYst - a) I'm from houston, steaks much better in tx; b) the reason I'm going is b/c (i) the b-day boy lives nearby, (ii) married guys like the bar scene (cougars running rampant), and (iii) it's generally convenient. oh, did I miss something? the food. yeah, right, we're not going there for the food. agree with your assessment, fat guys in khaki's or bad "business casual"; lugars is way overrated - the gruff staff gets under my skin: "you WILL have the steak for 5"...love blt steak, the souffle is my fav. also like stk, but I know some peeps don't care for the mpd.

99

Posted by guest , Sep 11, 2008 4:24PM

@97 This is how you get your kicks? You are so intriguing. I bet you're a real fun & sexy guy.

100

Posted by FUNdamental , Sep 11, 2008 4:32PM

cluz -- three favorite, old homestead, friscos( agreeed on the drawbacks and they make you wait forever but steaks, sides and winelist all excellent) and striphouse. Three most overrated -- Lugers, sparks and craftsteak.

Next thurs seems like a good tentative date.

101

Posted by guest , Sep 11, 2008 4:33PM

I had heretofore assumed that a picture posted under the header "Posted Without Comment" would be, you know, posted without comment.

102

Posted by guest , Sep 11, 2008 4:35PM

98 Thanks. And have fun. 1) so stk. is good: I'm one of those people that's wary of places in mpd, but I'll put it on the list. That said, I've been trying to get a res at Scarpetta and also had a great time a few weeks ago at Mercado 55. Note: if yr after VERY good looking black women kids, check it out. 2) I like BLT Prime (22nd) better than BLT Steak (57th). Same food, but the ceiling uptown is low and I find the noise level punishing. GAnalYst

103

Posted by guest , Sep 11, 2008 4:40PM

@101-- you thought wrong.

104

Posted by Investorcluzo , Sep 11, 2008 4:48PM

@FUN - good call on striphouse (forgot about that one).

@GAnalYst - almost read too fast, thought you saying black women with kids...I don't need anyone else's problems. will take it under advisement. haven't been to prime yet, but will check it out since it's closer to my crib than steak. let me know about scarp (haven't been). oh, if you want a sleeper - in the middle of nowhere, check out quality meats on 58th/6th (good for when you're out with a stray - but I know you wouldn't do that).

105

Posted by RAW DOG , Sep 11, 2008 5:47PM

When it comes to steak, you guys should get a clue. There's only one party in town and that's Porcao (circ 23rd and Park). A distant 2nd is Wolfgang's. Never been to Luger's though.

106

Posted by guest , Sep 11, 2008 6:20PM

Mmm...striphouse. Cool room, awesome steak.

107

Posted by Investorcluzo , Sep 11, 2008 7:04PM

@raw - someone needs to put a leash on you...porcao is not a steak place. a meat lovers' paradise yes, steak no. wolfgang's is nothing more than peter lugars for people who don't want to go to brooklyn. the only thing good about that place is the canadian bacon (but everything tastes better with bacon)...perhaps you should get out of the doghouse more often. just sayin'.

108

Posted by guest , Sep 11, 2008 8:58PM

I assume porcao is Brazilian barbecue? How good could that be? Extra salty, so you keep ordering drinks. The meat is indifferent, the sides sit there. Fun either 1) the first time or 2) if you do the real thing at Mariu's on Copacapana in Rio. But after that no way. The only exception is someones birthday when you have a party of 20. No time wasted with impossible people (all women and most gay men) shuffling menus and having trouble deciding. Otherwise, no. Plus, you know what that stuff does to your waistline? When are you straight boys (except for cluz, hes cool) gonna get smart about things. GAnalYst
