It's strange that Lloyd Doggett, the Democratic Rep from Austin, Texas, is voting no. Are you sure that's right?

Also, Jim Oberstar is not a Republican from Arizona, he's a Democrat from Minnesota. Can there be two Jim Oberstars in the U.S. Congress? Rather unlikely.

I doubt that Rahm Emanuel, Democrat from Illinois would vote no. Isn't he the Democratic whip?

How is Anthony Weiner of Brooklyn, who has Chuck Schumer's old seat, voting? And what about that woman Democrat from Florida, the one with three names?

YAY! America still has some backbone! Thank God! The avergae American who actually takes the time to read and understand this ridiculous resolution would NEVER agree to it and congress didn't. THAT'S THE WAY IT'S SUPPOSED TO WORK! If you have not read the draft, do not be mislead by headlines...this bailout is a VERY VERY BAD THING for America. See for yourself by taking the time to read the doc...you can find it online in .pdf format, it is 106 pages but worth the read because it exposes the people who drafted it for the crooks they are. Shameless, unscrupulous, bullying crooks. Call your congressman, congratulate and encourage those who voted against this bailout package. Chastise those who voted for it! ANYONE who voted for this either doesn't understand it or ought to be ashamed of themselves for how they plan to benefit personally from it. Long live America! Land of the free! Home of the brave!

I think that the american people should not be responsible for bailing out the insurance companies. They rob us blind with bills every month, and when the time comes to payout, they deny your claim because it doesn't meet their criteria. And if banks have loaned them the funds and insurance companies can't make the payments let them pursue the option we as a people have. (file bankruptsy) If we go into a recession then so be it. But I for one wouldn't waste my time and money on companies that drain the american dollar out of the taxpayer for nothing.
