    Bess, I know that you’ve been slacking and all today, but is there any chance that you’re going to live blog this for those of us who are also working today and won’t be able to call in ourselves?
    PS – you’re the best.

    @3- yes i’ll be liveblogging it but if you can call in and listen too that’d be good because let’s be honest, i’m probably not going to have a clue what they’re talking about.

    @8 – if you know spanish musicians, I think it kind of sounds like Jarabe de Palo, he had a few good tunes. but I agree, this is painful.

    “Theres a sign on the wall
    But she wants to be sure
    cause you know sometimes words have two meanings.
    In a tree by the brook
    Theres a songbird who sings,
    Sometimes all of our thoughts are misgiven.
    Ooh, it makes me wonder,
    Ooh, it makes me wonder.”

    @1- so much for your theory

    @guest of Sep 28, 2008 11:02PM
    No it’s not a transcript of the call.
    If you look up “transcript” in the dictionary you will find what that word actually means.
    What you linked to is an mp3 of the phone call audio.
    Now if someone *has* taken the time and effort to transcribe the conference call into text then please post a link to the text as I’m sure many people are having trouble understanding what is said in that clip due to very poor phone line and recording quality.

    Try looking at this article on the US financial storm sometime. You’d think that these powers would be given to the Federal Reserve, not the Treasury, too…
