Get a load of this shit:
1. Even though more than 200 hedge funds shut down this year, little country bumpkin shops you've probably never heard of called Citadel and SAC Capital are still hiring!
2. The most poignant piece of analysis you'll ever read on WaterBreak.

@2. I know, hopefully it'll work later. It's a fake Levi Johnston blog. Sample post:
ABORT ABORT ABORT
Filed Under: bristol, pregnant by: Levi Johnston
I’ve talked it over with Bristol, and I think we’re going to have an abortion. I hope her mom doesn’t find out about this…does anybody know where the nearest abortion clinic is from Wasilla, AK???

It is a fake log and has been overcome with either excess traffic or denial of service attacks. It worked initially but is not longer.
I like the political feeding frenzy though. Now candidates' children are also in play. Also in play are wierd outlandish stories (Palin calling her grandson her son). So much for the progressive movement and 'hope and change.'
I am not saying that the other side does not indulge in similar mud-slinging but the sanctimonious left somehow tries to portray itself as the poor victim of right wing smears. The truth is that all sides indulge in equal nastiness - the left should drop its victim stance already.
This election is going to rapidly descend into major nastiness - now dailykos is offering $5k for any information (negative) on Palin's family. I am guessing the game can (and will be) played both ways. I mean seriously, Obama didn't spread some seed during his days in NY? Lets see where this goes.
Posted by guest , Sep 02, 2008 2:42PM
@9-- the levi blog isn't about nastiness, it's just funny.

"the sanctimonious left somehow tries to portray itself as the poor victim of right wing smears"
cry me a fucking (hilariously hypocritical) river.

I like the fact that the same folks who worked up a storm over Obama's REAL pictures dressed as some kenyan tribal head, who expressly claimed that michelle is 'off limits' and who took massive offense whenever Obama's actual middle name was used are now gleefully peddling pshopped images of Paln and attacking her entire family, including dragging up her husband's DUI when he was 22 and her violation of a fishing license from when she was in school.
Hope and change indeed (or was it change and hope?)

on willow palin's blog (two questions (1) who is Todd? (2) that black comment needs some political spin and fast:
Give my family privacy!
I deleted all my old entries, it was hard but I rather not have millions of strangers in my life. I am making this new post to tell you guys to lay off my sister! Yes my sister made a mistake, but we all do! Todd is a nice guy, and yes, maybe he said he didn’t want kids but im sure he will somehow figure that he needs to quit sports, quit having fun, maybe quit highschool marry my sister and live happy for ever! Also the babydaddy comments are rude, we are not black! I will add another post later, I have to go console bristol, leave her alone! just leave her alone!
p.s: OMG! 91210 is coming on soon! yay!

9 - since when do bloggers with no official association to a political party speak for that party, let alone for a presidential candidate? your entire post is ill thought out.
Posted by guest , Sep 02, 2008 3:17PM
Interestingly, the smear that Palin is a one time member of the Alaska Independence party is based on the statement of 2 unvalidated one time AIP members. Official papers show that she has been a registered Republican since 1982.
However, this 'news' has hit every single mainstream media outlet. Compare that with their circumspect nature in the John Edwards case - where they refused to mention a peep unless they had triple DNA evidence of the child being fathered by Edwards.
No bias indeed.

Anyone know if Levi is MOT?

3 Page One NY Times articles today about the pregnant daughter.
....is it that important?
Posted by guest , Sep 02, 2008 3:29PM
20 The articles are important cause they talk about the vetting process, the fact that McCain knew, the potential impact of the revelations on the campaign. They're not puff pieces.

18 - saying a married man has an illegitimate love child is a bit different from saying someone used to be part of another party awhile ago that no one cares about. stop fking digging.
Posted by guest , Sep 02, 2008 3:45PM
@ 15 - Todd (Palin) is Sarah Palin's husband, but the blog entry still doesn't make sense... maybe started talking about her dad, then switcheds subjects, or meant to say Levi Johnston. Don't know. Maybe Todd isn't her real dad... just sayin' (it's a joke for all of you who are going to jump to conclusions).

#22, The Edwards allegations came out initially when he was one of the leading contenders for the Democratic nomination. He was also supposed to be someone who was going to have a big impact on this year's Democratic agenda - keynote speaker on poverty and stuff at the convention, and lining up for AG or something. All that is the same as some random dude, right?
Very interesting is also the manner in which cynical liberal lipservice to equality of women has been exposed. The liberal world is abuzz with concerns about how a mother of 5 children (with a perfectly devoted and able husband) can take on an important position. Somehow I have NEVER heard anyone bring up the topic of the number of kids / presence of sick dying wife as a drag on teh abilities of a man to be anything. Conservatives saying this would still make sense - but the equality loving liberal liberals taking that route is eye-opening indeed.

As for the #1 part of this post, I have worked for that "little country bumpkin shop" Balyasny Asset Management and I say GOOD FUCKING LUCK to anyone trying to succeed there if you're not family or close to it. And buy kneepads, regardless.

Regarding post #15, I saw that as well. She did call her sister's boyfriend Todd, and she did say "we are not black". Since then, she changed the name "Todd" to "Levi" and she changed "we are not black" to "do we look ghetto"? Odd, huh? Yeah. So, basically, I think she got so used to being told to say the dad is Todd that it just slipped. It's very telling, isn't it? I mean, what child would make that kind of mistake unless they were trying to cover something up for their parent? Think about it. Would YOU ever try to bring your dad's name into this "accidently" ? Hmmmmmm .......

Oh no, I think she found out. Bristol left the pregnancy test in the garbage, instead of throwing it in the outside one. I hope this doesn’t leak. I hear she’s going to be running for something political.

Try and learn some basic English grammer yourself before name calling you mother of all cocks.

24 - It's not Liberals who keep saying "Family Values" over and over again, throwing it out as an implication that non-Republicans = Non-family values, then run for not just a job, but very possibly THE most important job anywhere, in my opinion (McCain is too old for this not to be a primary consideration).
This woman is not running for VP in the traditional sense - there is a much higher chance of her becoming President than anyone in recent memory.
Her husband is a roughneck (oil well worker) and a comercial fisherman. She is the governor of a state. Who raises her kids???
Well, I seriously doubt the husband does, both of those careers involve long stretches away from home, like weeks to MONTHS.
So if it's Mrs.Palin, then, what does that say about running a STATE - how hard can that job be is you can raise 5 kids, (and a newborn at that!), and still Run the STATE?!?
Executive experience? Name me the CEO of even a small corporation who can raise 5 kids and run the company!
There are only 24 hours in a day people. Either she isn't really raising the kids, or Alaska just isn't that hard a state to run. Seriously - in a state where there is so much oil revenue that the people don't pay income tax - they RECEIVE money from the state! - budget is a no-brainer.
Commander in Chief of the Alaska National Guard? Laugh harder.
