Collectors Items

Oh hell to the yes people–Bella’s ID card just arrived in the mail. Like those who’ve come before her, this baby’s going to make bank. I’ll set up an eBay account shortly, get your wallets ready. We were going to send all the proceeds to laid off Lehmans, but apparently some of you would prefer canines. Figure it out and let me know.

Auction one of your biz cards for Lehman’s goons and the cute little pup pup’s(Bella’s) card for the ASPCA so that she never has to sniff another trader…

Definitely give the money to a worthwhile cause – abused animals or Toys for Tots or anything other than people who pulled in > 200% of the US median income last year.

    7,
You’re wrong. Don’t even pretend that you don’t know what’s best for the children.

Word at 745 is the Bella underwent surgery last week and is not doing well.. Maybe someone who is left there can shed some light on this. Kevin, her handler worked his last day there on Friday.

#5 – Abused animals? Like corporate bond salesmen?

  15. Posted by Carbonara | October 20, 2008 at 2:47 PM

ASPCA – they can’t help themselves. Lehmanites (Bella not withstanding) can!

buy yourselves a better website that doesn’t include posts which register at the speed of a glacier

Apparently, she underwent a biopsy last Thursday and will get the results on Tuesday to see if she has cancer.

  19. Posted by guest | October 20, 2008 at 3:03 PM

proceeds must go to Bella’s retirement fund

  20. Posted by guest | October 20, 2008 at 3:04 PM

Give the money to the children of the Lehman employees who made less than $50k/year, whose xmas is now f*cked.

  21. Posted by guest | October 20, 2008 at 3:34 PM

Bess – where’s your post on Kashkari’s yearbook photo atop the infamous Ferrari?

  22. Posted by guest | October 20, 2008 at 3:34 PM

prgy – after reading your prior comments, you aren’t standing on solid ground. You are the idiot.

  23. Posted by guest | October 20, 2008 at 3:49 PM

@22 I wonder why the infamous photo hasn’t been widespread…? Bess if you can;t get the Kash-man’s pic you will have to stand-in

  24. Posted by Headless Horseman | October 20, 2008 at 4:01 PM

Collectibles always trade higher posthumously off the bounce from the increased publicity. In this case, depending on the results of the biopsy, Bella’s ID could receive a double bounce (death of Lehman & Bella?). Might want to hold the ID card in speculation?
I second 20′s idea of setting up a fund to purchase Christmas presents for low-paid Lehman admins that got shafted by association.

Hey @23 nice comeback. I feel real stupid now.

@27- why dont you link to the original source (gawker, which db likely will in writeoffs) instead of passing it off as though clusterstock obtained the pic?

  28. Posted by guest | October 20, 2008 at 4:58 PM

    @27
i apologize but i googled it and it came up i didnt really read that much into it.

If Bella is sick then the money should go to her to help with recovery, if needed. Can anyone confirm? I support an ASPCA location that has a reputation of handling donations responsibly. I also like Make-A-Wish Foundation that helps very sick little dudes.

  30. Posted by guest | October 20, 2008 at 5:20 PM

As a side note, given the recent unpleasantness we may want to revisit the use of the phrase “make bank” to mean “make a lot of money.”
Perhaps we could now say, “bailed it in like a bailout.”

  31. Posted by guest | October 20, 2008 at 6:34 PM

I don’t think we’re going to get that much money for it.
ASPCA is fine. There’s lots of Lehman stuff on Ebay.
I met Bella several times. Very nice dog. Too bad she’s sick.
