Does Treasury have any Bloomberg terminals? Are they watching this carnage and realizing the whole financial system is about to collapse? Is that the 'plan'?

If they don't do something to stabilize the banks now - like within the next hour - these declines are going to accelerate into the close because everyone will need to hedge their MS/GS exposure into the weekend.

There is simply no confidence in the banking system because Paulson felt the need to bleed out the 'moral hazard.'

Well, guess what Hank, you are now witnessing a market bled of moral hazard where unsecured money rates are exceedingly high and banks can't operate at even 10:1 leverage.

The one thing that makes me smile is that GS will be out of business by next week.
