Like, The Shortest Peg Ev-arh?

Iceland abandoned the "131 to the Euro" peg it had been attempting to defend since... yesterday. That snickering you hear is inadvertent. We are actually crying on the inside. Really. I love Iceland. Some of my best friends are Icelandic.

If the entire world is having problems then where do the overpaid CEO's have their cash?

17

Posted by guest , Oct 08, 2008 12:00PM

@ 4 -- Icelandic beer is probably the WORST in the world -- at least GULL is, anyway, seeing as it's brewed with Reykjavik city water, which all reeks of sulphur on account of the entire country is essentially a lavafield.

I'm not telling. But here's a hint on where my money is: When you walk up to the door , you position the fingers of your right hand like you are showing them you have an Amex card....but you are just holding your fingers in that position without a card. That's how you get in the "bank" set up for us.

American Express gives all celebrity CEOs like me "invisible Amex cards". Those of you behind the velvet ropes could learn from us.

Iceland was actually named that way to trick people like @1 into thinking it was actually cold, so the morons wouldn't travel there and fuck up the gene pool

@ 20

25% of the country is covered by a glacier;

50% of the country is bleak trackless desert

The remaining quarter of the country is buffeted continuously by north Atlantic and Arctic Ocean gales

Yeah, there's some green bits where you can raise sheep. And the midnight sun can be pretty neat.

The place pretty much blows.

Dear God, what did you do to pull that assignment. Was it a matter of class rank at the Academy or an incident with the Admiral's daughter (son)?

Reykjavik is a 3 hour flight from London, it's hardly isolated unless you're an oarsman on a Viking ship.

But what do I know, I've only been there.
