We just spoke with Charlie re: whatever the hell went down on CNBC earlier. He said "no comment" but offered that he is in "zero trouble" with the network, which is a relief. No word on Ratigan. QUITE shadily, someone sent us a clip of the brouhaha, but within minutes it had been removed. Whoever is responsible: STOP SUPPRESSING THE TRUTH! We can handle it!

I was a reporter-at first he didn't know he was on air, but that's not possible after a few nano-seconds because the light is on the camera-then he realized he had his pants down and he was not able to go with the story because it was not confirmed yet. then radigan started being the arrogant bastard he really is and charlie decided to spurt a little-the producer at that point should have knocked them off the air. then again, he could have been on CRACK

I take my laptop to the bathroom with me when I poop - But by this exchange I was truly mezmerized. Despite positions open and the day reaching its requisite crescendo - I left the computer behind- I walked quickly but quietly to the tv for a closer look - almost in a trance like state. My mouth was literally hanging open. I think I muttered "wtf" a few times. My girlfriend asked "what happened what happened".... I usually like Ratigan. I usually like Gasparino. I think someone told Gasparino he could not report what he wanted to report. Think Ratigan knew this. Notice Ratigan seemed out of it and that Chinese chick came over and picked up the ball, then they went to Gasparino and he refused to report the whatever it was. Ratigan couldn't say whatever Gasparino was going to say, so it was left unsaid.
My take is simple. He didn't have enough confirming first party sources and he decided not to stick his neck out on something that might turn out to be just another dead end.

Commentator 54 is right. Gasparino repeatedly said, "Shoot to the capitalism" in response to Ratigan's implied threat (as they started talking over one another) that if Gasparino did not start talking with his story, Ratigan would have to move on because he had "a capitalist system" to talk about (meaning, a lot of other business news/stories).
That doesn't excuse Gasparino's belligerence before he started saying that, but it most clearly means he was NOT saying "shoot the capitalism"!
If commentators are going to pile on Charlie Gasparino (which they are fully free to do; it's a free country), at least get your facts straight before doing so, and don't start making up things that didn't happen. And if you want to be taken seriously, then avoid the juvenile potty talk and sexual innuendos and insinuations.
And a CNBC producer has to take or at least share responsibility here. He/she HAD to have a mouth in each of their ear pieces, and had to have decided to put Charlie on the air. So if Charlie in fact could not go forward with a ML story at that time, then a producer is to blame for putting CG on the air (and on the spot), and then corralling neither him nor Ratigan once they each got childish.
