Volatility Leads The Way: Dow Contest

Ok, typically we only do the Dow contests when the markets are nuts. But since they are always nuts lately, you guessed it, you can call Dow 12:00 noon. We'll cut off the bets at about 11:30 or so. Maybe.

You know the rules. Closest without going under.

in a response to your sarcasm, my day actually isnt so busy, chances are our fund wont make a new investment this year as most wont so i have exhausted all of the other legitimate business websites to read this morning and when i saw that AGAIN dealbreaker is having a guess the dow contest it was just too pathetic for me not to comment but i forgot what its like to be an analyst in a bank, so i am sure this is fun for a lot of people

Jumping the shark is a colloquialism used by TV critics and fans to denote that point in a TV show or movie series' history where the plot veers off into absurd story lines or out-of-the-ordinary characterizations. In the process of undergoing these changes, the TV or movie series loses its original appeal. Shows that have "jumped the shark" are typically deemed to have passed their peak. According to the theory, once a show has "Jumped the Shark" fans can designate the point of the show's perceived decline in overall quality with the "Jump the Shark" moment.

Also applies to websites like Dealbreaker.
