A majority of the vote-eligible population right now doesnt pay a dime in federal income taxes. (CBO stats - 46% of filers have 0 or -ve tax burden, safe to assume a good number of ACORN registrants have never even filed.) Didn't some famous guy say that the day people figure this out, democracy will break down?

So people are essentially voting to decide (through their reps) how OTHER people's money should be spent and how much money should be taken away from other people. That plan sure has some awesome disincentived! The 'tax-cut for 95%' simple solidifies that majority. Bye bye democracy....

I guess Bush's ownership society, which encouraged these lending practices, had nothing to do with it? What about all the financial institutions who were hungry for all these mortgages so they could bundle them up and sell them? Or the GOP congress that passed laws deregulating the derivatives markets?

Look, no one is guilt free in this mess. However, I think that we can get out of it if we elect someone who at least has a clue how this stuff works. McCain goes out and admits he knows little about the economy or economics, and says he has to chose a VP who knows more about it than him. Who does he go out and choose? Palin! A woman who thinks that if you live in NY that you don't live in REAL AMERICA. Are you kidding me?
