Steve Liesman reports that the treasury is seeking accounting and auction managers, as well as securities asset managers and whole loan asset managers. You must have your bids in by Wednesday at 5. "Winners" will be announced on the 11th, the same day you'll start working on this stuff. Get cracking.

It will be PIMCO. Who else can meet the minimum asset size requirement? Request for proposals (RFP) usually give asset managers a month to pull together something. In just giving 2 days, they already know who they want. Paulson just wants to make it look like other people had a chance.

Review the list of CMBS special servicers and master servicers. There are plenty of firms who will compete for this.

I hope everyone noticed afirmitive action hard a work in the offer, we will not select who is best for the job; a "speical notice" will be sent out for those who have been discrimated against.

Small and Minority- And Women-Owned Businesses.
The Treasury will issue separate notices, consistent with these procedures, specifically to identify smaller and minority- and women-owned Financial Institutions that do not meet the minimum qualifications for current assets under management in the initial notices. Such Financial Institutions will be designated as sub-managers within the portfolio.
