I forgot what a self important douche nozzle that guy is. Oh Neil - come back to CNBC - all is forgiven.

it's got to hurt when you're the repub prez nominee and FOX business disses your economic policies
Posted by guest, Oct 30, 2008 3:15PM
Neil is no GOP mouthpiece. The guy has class and tells it like it is

McCain should have never voted for that $150 billion in earmarks, which took the total cost of the junk to $850 billion. What an idiot.
Posted by guest, Oct 30, 2008 3:18PM
seriously, does anybody disagree with this?
i would say mccain speak with forked tongue, but i think he has simply lost the capacity to think...

Neil is a MASSIVE douche, HOWEVER, he is 100% right on this one. Trying to play connect-the-dots on McCain's ideas/stances/policies is downright nauseating.
Refreshing to see Fox push the pause button on the blind propaganda machine for a moment however I'm pretty sure they are back debating if Obama is a suni or shite right now...

bess, please post the Gasbag on-air segment that just happened. Completely ridiculous.
Posted by guest, Oct 30, 2008 3:29PM
Neil's the kind of guy that shits in the corner office a.k.a. the handicap stall and doesn't flush.
Posted by guest, Oct 30, 2008 3:29PM
charlie gas was loaded on air 2 minutes ago...bye bye chuck, you just lost your job

Does Cavuto ever hit the nail on the head! Add in the overambitious lightweight from Alaska who is okay with Creationism (very strong evidence of muddle-headed thinking in my book)- she scares me - and you have the reason I am going to pull the lever for the Democratic nominee for president for the first time in nine elections. Meanwhile, I'll vote AGAINST the similarly muddle-headed John Hall from NY's 19th district - a total moron. At least Obama shows evidence of intelligent life, even if it's hard to discern (and I'm afraid of) just what his PRIORITIES will be.

@5 but Roger Ailes, who happens to still be Cavuto's boss, is a GOP mouthpiece. There was a politics chat on washingtonpost.com a little while ago and a question was asked about Shep Smith dressing down Joe the Plumber. One of the the analysts on the chat noted that Fox's bias has always sided with the GOP base when they've broken with individuals, first Bush and now McCain.
You could look at Cavuto's rant in the same context. In both instances, Fox is serving red meat to the party faithful as they consolidate themselves and begin to break from McCain much like they did when Bush's popularity began to sink. They're pushing back against the campaign that has taken to tossing them under the bus rhetorically and in principle now that they no longer see any benefit in remaining loyal to it.
In other words @4, the McCain campaign is probably less hurt by the criticism than they are by the implicit admission by Fox News/FBN that they believe McCain is going to lose.
With any luck, they're right.

@8
its refreshing to see the blind prop. . .
what the hell do you call the rest of the media? how many more times do i have to hear the NYT or MSNBC beam about how great BO's semen tastes? there are no journalistic standards in the msm anymore, thats why i read DB.

@19
Obama goes to church but doesn't believe in god. just puttin o the ritz
Posted by guest, Oct 30, 2008 3:52PM
You know, probably a nice guy and I didn't bother to even watch this one but I only recently started watching Fox at night and he really seems to have zero clue on some things but yet always has a strong opinion and tries to cast doubt on issues which he's clueless about. Kind of irritating so I don't watch anymore.

@21, how does my man mustard taste? Keep going, nice and easy, no teeth!
Posted by guest, Oct 30, 2008 4:04PM
@24 another homo in love with Obama. That's cute, you and Chris Mattews should serenade together.
Posted by guest, Oct 30, 2008 4:24PM
McCain is turning into a McStake
After the Palin debacle I switched to Obama - @25, sorry, I'm an independent and who voted for Bush twice (sorry).
Fool me once, shame on you, fool me...cant get fooled again.

Amen #8
I've been tryin to put together a piece slamming McCain (balance out the obama-smash) and there's just nothing really that hasn't been said. Its just one garbled, jumbled mess unworthy of coherent discourse (or something like that)
