Charlie Gasparino has edited his short list for the next Treasury Secretary under President Obama. In its first iteration, CG's SL included Larry Summers, Tim Geithner, Paul Volcker and Bob Rubin. Gaspar says it's now between Summers and Geither, as he's "hearing" that Volcker is too old, and Rubin worked at the Big C. According to Steve Liesman, Bobby should not be ruled out just because of "a little bit of taint from the whole Citi thing."
In related news, Portfolio has created a sweet-16 tournament for the TS candidates that includes Jamie Dimon, Paul Krugman, Steve Cohen, Ken Griffin, Sheila Bair, and Cody Willard.
