Hiring Watch ’08: Citi

That’s right, ladies. Citi has announced it needs 1,000 warm bodies in the Philippines next year. According to the firm’s “country business manager” Mark Jones, “There’s a whole lot of activity moving in the Philippines as we grow our businesses. Citi is moving more equity in [there]. If you look at the business, we’re repositioning globally.” Most of the jobs will be for the Big C’s call center and financial reporting operations which I’m sure you’d love to take issue with but let’s face reality, people. You could do a lot worse. Pack your bags.

So it is clear that you deleted a comment #2 Bess. I don’t know what it was but it makes me sick to know that it happen.
By my count you haven’t added original content to this site for at least a week.
And no, writing summaries of what we are all watching in CNBC does not count.
I would suggest that you try to build some actual sources beyond the Yahoo finance board if you would like to keep this job.
Go ahead mindless defenders and slam away but you know it is true.

All right! I am so proud that our billions of tax dollars will help Citi send more of our jobs over seas – and I look forward to the myriad of problems we as customers of Citi will have to deal with now because of it.
    Yea!

Hundreds of billions in guarentees for one of the biggest, most asset-laden banks in the world – a bank that pays a dividend to it’s shareholders – billions of more in cash injections – our cash! Meanshile we get nothing but screwed by the lenders and the government both:
