Guess I shouldn’t be surprised, but the contrast was stark.

@26 Sorry… Dick, Rush and Sean didn’t ruin the Republican party. The blame for that rests squarely with the Republicans in congress for trying to be ersatz democrats by spending like drunken sailors, and with Bush for approving the spending.

    Do you dispute my #62?

I guess if TGFD wants to post on DB, I should stay away from any type of social commentary. It appears that any political comment critical of the missiah, is immediately lambasted as racist. Fuck you clowns if you’re so myopically minded. You liberals are the ones who hate (for 8 long yrs) and who try to shout down and condemn anyone whose views are outside your sphere of acceptability. Let’s see how f’n smug all you clowns are in 2 years, after the midterm elections.

Does it even matter what TGFD believes on a personal level? Anybody using “cracka” is using reverse racism.
I’m with TGFD on this one.

  85. Posted by guest | November 7, 2008 at 5:30 PM

Just a few questions for all you laid-off liberals on DB…
Did your PC attitudes keep you in your jobs longer, or did they get you fired sooner? Are those left behind, those who are still on the job, more likely to be PC clowns or not-so-PC? Any comments?
    The Guy from Delaware

  86. Posted by Anominous | November 7, 2008 at 5:35 PM

“PC”? did your brain stop processing new information in 1994?

  87. Posted by guest | November 7, 2008 at 5:49 PM

TGFD, my getting laid-off had nothing to do with my ideology.
i was terrible. my ass-kissing skills were nonexistent, i enjoyed leaving work early to go smoke pot and i refused to use banker jargon, such as, “so-and-so is going to add a little COLOR to this presentation.”
this has nothing to do with you being a bigot and most likely a racist. now, let’s focus and start from the beginning. when did all this hate begin?

  88. Posted by guest | November 7, 2008 at 6:33 PM

Help Jesus punish the fornicating harlots! VOTE REPUBLICAN!!!

  89. Posted by guest | November 7, 2008 at 6:42 PM
  90. Posted by guest | November 7, 2008 at 6:52 PM

    @#88…
The hate never began with me. TGFD doesn’t hate anybody. Not liking someone, some group, or some ideology does not automatically imply hatred on my part. I don’t associate with those I don’t care for, that’s all. Hating takes too much energy. WhyTF should I spend my life hating something/someone when that hatred harms no one but me?You can hate if you want to, but I don’t have to. Maybe that’s why I look so young at my age.
DB knows that TGFD will be 60 in late Dec. Full head of hair (not gray), chicks of all ages, good social connections and all. DB already knows about those things.
    The Guy from Delaware

  91. Posted by guest | November 7, 2008 at 7:03 PM

    @#78…
Too bad you couldn’t find anything to your liking about Delaware. Try finding some info about northern Delaware’s “Chateau Country”. That’s where TGFD is, and I like it here. When I look out any window of my house during the daytime, any window, in all four directions, I see nothing but lovely fall colors. Not another house in sight, not in any direction. Very peaceful here.
    The Guy from Delaware
p.s. TGFD is leaving the building now. Enjoyed the conversation.

  92. Posted by guest | November 7, 2008 at 7:30 PM

TACL wishes to call TGFD on his derivative use of the 3rd person in self-referencing. TACL also wishes to call TGFD on his trollish behavior. If his life was truly all that and a bag of chicks, he would not care what some anonymous posters on DB thought about Delaware or his lifestyle.
TACL would also like to remind @43 and @73 about a new invention called a “dictionary.” This invention is also available on “the internet.” You can check your words before you post, and realize the word is “mulatto,” and none of the cool kids use it anymore.

Ha! Beat the shit out of TGFD hour, love it.
And “cracka” isn’t reverse racism, it’s racism, just not against black people.
for instance, if I said: “Dance cracka, dance” that would be racist, and funny. Especially if I was throwing pennies at some dudes feet.

  94. Posted by guest | November 7, 2008 at 8:24 PM

But I was drunk, you were right on there.

TGFD and the wife went out to get some dinner. I believe the Rolling Stones once sang, “We all need something we can eat on.”
    @#93…
For a moment I thought TACL meant The AssClown Liberal, but you eventually clarified your moniker. Thanks.
TGFD understands that “going third person” is often considered a sign of mental instability. I prefer to think of it as TGFD’s eccentricity instead. I have fun with it sometimes.
BTW, you beat me to the mullato spelling correction. In the south they call them “high yellas”. Haven’t heard that one lately though, but obama’s black; no doubt about that.
I don’t give a shit what DB posters think. DB posters do like “sex and crazy”, and I used to give it to them until the rapid Wall St meltdown started in Sept. I think we’ve all been preoccupied lately.
WTF is “trollish” about my behavior anyway?
    Phobos@#94…
Good to hear from you again. Last time we talked was in the wee hours, but TGFD doesn’t usually tune in to DB in the middle of the night. I too like “Beat the shit out of TGFD hour”. It is fun, and I certainly have no hard feelings.
Just a final thought for all the liberals…If you haven’t already experienced it, watch for changes in behavior from black and hispanic lower-level employees — waitresses, cleaning people, sales clerks, govt employees, et al. You’ll notice a growing hostility and a certain rudeness toward whites. Maybe you’ll wonder, “WTF did I do to them?” Keep on the lookout for it. It is a sign of things to come. It hasn’t happened yet to me personally, but I did witness it Wednesday — just one day after the election.

    “Post hoc ergo propter hoc”
After, therefore, because of. It’s rarely if ever true.
People have been kicking each other in the balls for years, regardless of race. That you noticed it after/during/just before the election doesn’t mean it was because of the election, merely that you attributed it to the election.
Racism is a natural response to fear; we’re often hyper responsive to those things we don’t understand, or want to understand. It’s easier to basket it and shelf it (so to speak) than to have to deal with whatever it is.
But crackers really will steal your shit and pawn it. Especially picassos. White people love crazy ass art. If you could steal NPR, they’d take that too. Oh, and Bottled Water.

I heard this from a friend…if you get a group of hippies together and shout “we want change, we want change” over and over again, actual change will start falling from the sky. My friend told me that he did this and was able to collect enough dimes, nickels and pennies to buy some ramen noodles. And if you really really hope, and hope really really hard and shout “O-Bom-A!”, then, sometimes you could get quarters too!

  104. Posted by guest | November 8, 2008 at 6:50 AM

Hey, I have a question? I didn’t pay any taxes last year…can I still get a tax cut? I heard Lil’ Wayne on T.V. the other day saying that I’d get a ‘tax-credit.’ Does that mean I can get straight-up cash from hard-working americans, i mean the government. And, can I also ask for the credit to be paid in crack?

    #106 – I agree, I wrote #105.
The problem is not racism. True racism does not exist in America as it has in the past. The problem is equity of opportunity. There are those in our society who do not have a good work ethic, who do not understand the ideas of self-improvement and working through adversity and the American pioneer spirit and taking the initiative and responsibility for one’s own success/failure. Instead of working hard, these people blame racism for their failure. They believe in big government to help them out. They do not understand what it is to be an American, to depend on yourself and not on government. They do not understand that this principle is central to being American and is what makes us strong. They believe it is cooler to be the victim, than shrugging off the ills that life throws at you and overcoming hardship. It is these people that I am afraid of.
I am not white. I was born and raised here by immigrant parents from India. Parents who worked hard and wanted the American Dream. The future of conservatism lies in the American Dream. This transcends any race. Time will expose the lies and sheer lack of substance of the liberal Obama agenda. An agenda that is antithetical to the American Dream.
In school, there were times when I was made fun off for my race or background, but as a true American, I shrugged it off and found that it made me stronger and more individualistic. Today, children are taught to cry and take on the role of the victim and use that to make excuses for their lack of skill. Tell me, what good is it to go through life without ever getting offended? Does that make our children stronger? Shielding them from ‘being offended’ and encouraging them to play the victim is only going to make them weaker. When I talk to old Catholics, they too were sometimes discriminated against. But their reaction to it was similar to mine. Be a strong individual, drop the group mentality and victim-hood politics.
Get over yourself Obama, get over yourselves ‘disadvantaged minorities.’ Learn to become stronger and take your success into your own hands and stop playing the victim, no matter how much you enjoy using it as an excuse to keep from working harder. I see a resurgent conservative movement coming, as non-whites finally realize that race is irrelevant and that ideas are more important. No one ever mentions the 95%+ of blacks that voted for Obama…isn’t that voting based on race, yet more than 75% of them in California voted against gay marriage…conflicts with their vote for the most liberal member of the Senate. Anyway, the Left is always been somewhat of the odd-kid out in the U.S.. The Left does not represent what America stands for and never really will gain that much power. Look for a shift to the right, as race becomes less of an issue that the Left can pander to.

  108. Posted by guest | November 9, 2008 at 12:18 AM

#108 – My great great great grandfather might have been a slave….so, that is why I listen to rap, speak Ebonics and curse. I hate math and science, it is an invention by white people. So, I’m going to blame white-people for my ills and raise my 5 children the same way. It’s white people’s fault for bringing my great great great grandfather to America. And while I have all the opportunity now and live in the richest nation on earth, rather than an African slum, I will still hate America and the “PO-leece” and vote for change.

Obama himself claimed to lack the experience required to serve as Commander in Chief:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BnLozS-TnM
This clown has 1 year “experience” in the US Senate (the rest was on a campaign bus/plane/train).
If you read about his childhood (which was spent in Indonesia living as “Barry Soetoro” with Muslim stepfather Lolo Soetoro), Obama undoubtedly has deep emotional scarring from a mother who was apparently quite disturbed, and a Nigerian father (Barack Hussein Obama Sr) who left them both.
Picture yourself at 10 years old, and think about how you felt about the United States at the time. Now imagine someone who doesn’t have a clue how that feels, and you have Mr Obama.
Here’s a revealing article, published before the media circled the wagons around their Chosen One:

    #113- At least he’s honest.
I don’t expect Obama to know very much either. That’s why they have advisers, people who study ‘economics’ all their lives.
I’m sure a community organizer from South-Side Chicago knows all about economics…i mean how to manipulate poor people to vote for you.
I’d take advice from Hank Paulson anyday over that crooked “community organizer” and his cronies, who have only made money by working the political/charity systems, rather than create value on their own. And don’t even mention Obama’s books – William Ayers wrote them, not Obama, so Obama cannot claim to create any economic value from them.
May be Obama actually created some value when he was selling crack as a young man (young G/thug). The only business that he could claim to have honestly made some money from under legitimate market forces. TRULY SAD.

  114. Posted by guest | November 9, 2008 at 4:25 AM

But there she was on Wednesday, after narrowly escaping defeat because of those comments, saying she was “extremely grateful that we have an African-American who has won this year.” Ms. Bachmann, a Republican, called Mr. Obama’s victory, which included her state, “a tremendous signal we sent.”

Seeking underage boys in bathrooms is another. Of course Republican Senator Larry Craig may have just had a “wide stance”.

  120. Posted by guest | November 9, 2008 at 9:42 AM

    #120.
Both sides have scandals. And Sen. Larry Craig will never have a shot at being president. The scary thing is that the media is willing to overlook almost anything to get Obama elected. His shady connections with the Chicago political machine, his reverend, and a host of so many things. The media did not do their jobs and wanted to feel good about getting a sub-standard person elected justed because he was a young-looking and eloquent black man. His experience? His past? His friends? Nobody in the media gave a crap.

  121. Posted by guest | November 9, 2008 at 9:49 AM

He wasn’t seeking underage boys you freakin’ idoit. He gave a signal to an undercover officer in the stall next to him. Get your facts straight. What? Now you’re a gay-basher?
Did you ‘feel good’ voting for Obama because of his race, rather than his qualifications? Do you finally feel not guilty for being white now, dipshit?

  122. Posted by guest | November 9, 2008 at 9:52 AM

“Oh my gosh, look at him talk. We’re so proud of him.”
Does anyone else feel that the press is babying Obama? Isn’t it also somewhat condescending? Why doesn’t Obama tell them to treat him normally and why can’t he answer questions without us feeling that he needs to be coached by his white handlers and white liberal media elites who act like they’re training their new black puppy.

Why am I not surprised that believes Obama is a secret believer in Islam?
Second comment: Do all of you who have made racist comments realize that you are completely out of step with the country and the times? What’s cool about being a Neanderthal throwback? Do all of you have pictures of Barry Goldwater up in your monk-like bedrooms? How did you make the decision to despoil this site by making it the repository of your reactionary comments?

The Guy From Delaware kicks ass!
And STFU #128 and #132 and all the hippies posting on here. You do not represent Wall Street. While Wall St. has gotten more limosine liberals in its ranks, it still remains a conservative place that is hostile to the non-profit NGO and altruistic thinking that is some other industries like ‘green tech.’
Why the hell are the left leaning people who read DB so damn surprised about the conservative element on the street. The street has always been tilted toward the right, it has always been a little friendly to laise-faire and the Republican Party even though they donate to Democrats to protect their backs in case the douchbags win.

  140. Posted by guest | November 10, 2008 at 8:22 AM

    @140
    i agree.
wall st. NY is not san francisco, ca. those of who actually work in finance know that. may be all the lefties reading DB need to leave and improve the quality of the DB audience. this site is most successful when it stays relevant and exclusive to those you actually are finance professionals not your dipshit liberal activists. pledge for the environment? no fu*king thank you. pro-business, pro-drilling, pro-lazy people not getting my hard-earned money, pro-tax cuts. a candidate who wants to raise capital gains is not someone that wall st. supports. obama was given money from bankers, because wall st. is capitalist and smart and knows that it is better to give money to a socialist if he is likely to win rather than pout and risk his scorn if the clown actually does become president.
sorry that you’ve been unpleasantly surprised that wall st. is a more right-leaning place, now please stop reading DB and go back to ‘working for the environment’ in your real day job in CA.

  141. Posted by guest | November 10, 2008 at 8:31 AM

UNBELIEVABLE. Someone wake up the hippies posting on this board who have never worked in the securities or banking industry.
    Wall St. = Capitalism
    and
Capitalism does not equal the socialist, most liberal-leaning member of the senate that is now the ‘spread-the-wealth’ president.
Obviously, he would not have been president if the media actually had done its job and looked at his record and his friends, rather than just protecting their favorite affirmative action ‘diversity’ baby who represents a ‘turning point’ in ‘race relations.’ I don’t want change if it is socialism that you’re talking about. I’d like to keep my country capitalist, open to free trade and competitive, thank you very much.
And those crying about racism…get over it. Life is unfair, but opportunity is more fair today than at any other time in our country’s history. Since Obama’s president now…no more crying and no more excuses, time to actually start taking responsibility, rejecting the rap culture of crime and illiteracy, and making a living for yourselves.

  142. Posted by guest | November 10, 2008 at 10:14 AM

TGFD suggests that you stay away for “a few more weeks”.
Question for you…Why can’t someone be a “chick magnet” for chicks of all ages “including underage girls” and still be “happily married”? Just because women/chicks/girls generally like TGFD, does not mean that I’m out there shagging them. I like the attention; who wouldn’t?
BTW, I’ve reconsidered my first paragraph in this post. Please do stay around. You’re a typical example of an obama fan who may never realize the mistake you made on election day. Please continue to give DB readers your insightful perspectives.
    @#126…
You’re wrong about TGFD. I’m a white, Christian, conservative Republican. I didn’t write #125, nor did I write any of the other ludicrous one-liners that were obviously done by that same clown.

You pricks suck. The current administration is just trying to take temporary measures….and permanently raiser capital gains. And no, I have a job and don’t have time to listen to dido. But I liked Metallica, Dre, 50, and Em. before. Anyways, besides the point. Distract all you want. Nice article:
    http://www.theonion.com/content/news/black_guy_asks_nation_for_change
“The time for change is now,” said the black guy, yelling at everyone within earshot for 20 straight minutes, practically begging America for change. “The need for change is stronger and more urgent than ever before. And only you—the people standing here today, and indeed all the people of this great nation—only you can deliver this change.”
The black guy is oddly comfortable demanding change from people he’s never even met.
It is estimated that, to date, the black man has asked every single person in the United States for change.
“I’ve already seen this guy four times today,” Chicago-area ad salesman Blake Gordon said. “Every time, it’s the same exact spiel. ‘I need change.’ ‘I want change.’ Why’s he so eager for all this change? What’s he going to do with it, anyway?”
