Protest At Blackstone Boston

Apparently a union in Boston takes issue with the fact that Blackstone isn’t doing anything to prevent foreclosures. Plus, it’s Thanksgiving on Thursday. And really, the opportunity was apparently too good to pass up. Holiday-themed “protest” pics after the jump.

@1 Yes. And someone tell these deadbeats to get a job and start paying for their homes. Oh wait, I forgot. Barry is coming! YES HE CAN! He’ll get us out of the homes that we could never afford even in the best of times.

  4. Posted by bondguy007 | November 25, 2008 at 3:11 PM

Get a job. You didn’t hear them complaining about the long lines and being late to work on election day. They had all day to vote.

  5. Posted by guest | November 25, 2008 at 3:12 PM

@1- Now that you’ve felt the rush of power it will be hard to settle for anything less. Just remember, without you there wouldn’t be a second. Without you my post wouldn’t exist. You are a creator, god like. Mull that the fuck over.

Everybody on this board is F’ed. These are exactly the people Obama is going to give money to after he takes it out of you pocket and mine. All of these people are a complete waste of space, Obama included.

When is Paulson & Bernanke going to buy my Troubled Credit Card Balances and bail me out?
I wont be able to stimulate the economy until I get a nice 6 figure check from the IRS.

    Cheap bastards.

  13. Posted by guest | November 25, 2008 at 3:22 PM

13 / 6 You think the Bristol Palin wedding is still gonna be on, or was that just a fluffy promise for the benefit of potential voters?

  16. Posted by guest | November 25, 2008 at 3:23 PM

    stick it to the man

  17. Posted by guest | November 25, 2008 at 3:26 PM

The Palins…an all American family who want to secede…feel the patriotism!

  18. Posted by guest | November 25, 2008 at 3:26 PM

Someone tell these people that Blackstone won’t invest in their neighborhoods because they don’t want to deal with deadbeat losers like them. And why should Blackstone get involved in a business that, unless I am mistaken, they currently have NO direct involvement in (residential housing/mortgages, etc.)?

  19. Posted by guest | November 25, 2008 at 3:27 PM

And Blackstone is supposed to prevent foreclosures because….?

  20. Posted by guest | November 25, 2008 at 3:28 PM

is palin hiding her wideclopishness behind those wire-rimmed glasses?
    me thinks so.

  21. Posted by guest | November 25, 2008 at 3:31 PM

    Palin’s “hotness” is grossly overated…

  22. Posted by guest | November 25, 2008 at 3:32 PM

    @7…hahahah!
These unions are total wasteful losers. Most corrupt group in Boston is any union.
If I see that turkey I’m throwing his ass into the harbor like the a crate of tea circa 1773…
Or perhaps dump him off the Pru…either way works.

  23. Posted by guest | November 25, 2008 at 3:33 PM

The Republicans got foreclosed upon when Obama won the Presidency. Now they’re squealing like pigs caught under a gate. When you can’t do what your party promises you get foreclosed upon. The political deadbeats lost. Hail to the new Chief.

    @18/19
You incorrectly presume these people comprehend the issues you both have pointed out.

  26. Posted by guest | November 25, 2008 at 3:42 PM

does being the largest property owner in downtown boston not count toward “investing in boston communities”?

  27. Posted by HAM05 | November 25, 2008 at 3:48 PM

    hahaha snaps 26, snaps

  28. Posted by Falcon | November 25, 2008 at 3:48 PM

@26. No. Investing to lowlifes like these means giving them a fucking handout.

  30. Posted by guest | November 25, 2008 at 3:53 PM

By the way, does anyone else have a problem with Barry standing behind a podium that says “The Office of President Elect”? How can someone be that arrogant?

  31. Posted by guest | November 25, 2008 at 3:56 PM

L’Queesha LaRhonda Sharif Jones is all about Obama’s plans…why can’t we all be?

  32. Posted by guest | November 25, 2008 at 3:57 PM

If Boston low-lifes wanted “PE fat cats” to go after PE then why pick on Blackstone’s little satellite office?
Perhaps they simply couldn’t locate the Prudential Tower so Bain Cap was let off the hook.

    @30
The way I see it, security analyst consensus is pretty much that we’re going to be hit by a terrorist attack (nevermind russia’s posturing) like THE DAY he gets sworn in, sooo his whole transformation team is a show of force to indicate he’s ready for it, and we won’t be caught with our pants down.
That’s me trying to see the good in it.
The not-a-democrat in me see’s the HEY EVERYBODY COME SEE HOW GOOD I LOOK side of it also. And yes, it’s very farsical, a total charade and many other belittling adjectives.

  35. Posted by guest | November 25, 2008 at 4:02 PM

What a bnuch of idiots! It’s not PE o Hedge Funds job to invest in shitty hoods. Maybe they should ask State Govt. or Harvard which has $26 billion in free money.

  38. Posted by guest | November 25, 2008 at 4:04 PM

@ 18, BS currently has a massive RE portfolio. That said, the protests make about as much sense as did the ones held at Bear Stearns last year by disgruntled main street homeowners.

  39. Posted by guest | November 25, 2008 at 4:07 PM

@35 – What is ‘free money’

  40. Posted by guest | November 25, 2008 at 4:09 PM

@30 At least he didn’t put “Office of President HotShit.”

  41. Posted by guest | November 25, 2008 at 4:14 PM

  42. Posted by guest | November 25, 2008 at 4:14 PM

If Steve gets a turkey award maybe these people should get an ostrich – stick your head in the sand and hope that the real taxpayers can fix the charlie foxtrot that you call your life.

  43. Posted by miami | November 25, 2008 at 4:20 PM

I so cannot wait for the day the media turns on Barry when it becomes clear he cannot SAVE US OBAMBA and crushes [most] of their socialist dreams.

  44. Posted by guest | November 25, 2008 at 4:25 PM

These people have it all wrong you blame somali pirates not blackstone, or at least say blackstone is holding you hostage to pay your rent.

  45. Posted by guest | November 25, 2008 at 4:35 PM

Has anyone heard the numbers for second-year CLU volunteers?

  46. Posted by Anal_yst | November 25, 2008 at 4:38 PM

Perhaps, in a show of solidarity, we should all take a day or two off work and join these people in protest and demand that these FATCATS!!!! pay our rent, subdize our lives, assume our mortgage/student loan/credit card payments, fill our gas tanks, etc, etc ad nauseum?
Perhaps by example, however unlikely, we can show them how ridiculous their efforts are?

  47. Posted by guest | November 25, 2008 at 4:41 PM

I believe this has already been mentioned, but shouldn’t they go after the firms that atcually have RESIDENTIAL real estate holdings, BS is just commerical, correct? It’s things like this that make me lose all respect for these unions. When you present nothing but flawed arguments, it makes it difficult for me to take you seriously…

  48. Posted by Goldman Sachs Neophyte | November 25, 2008 at 4:44 PM

I have said it before and I will say it again. FUCK UNIONS AND ANYONE THAT IS NOT AN UPPER CLASS CITIZEN!! Damn it, little whining prolatariat bitches piss me off!

So your saying you had respect for them to start with?

  50. Posted by guest | November 25, 2008 at 4:57 PM

    @49,
47 here, you got me on that one. I guess its hard to lose respect when you never had it in the first place…

  51. Posted by guest | November 25, 2008 at 5:01 PM

Glorious, simply glorious. Change is already in the air. The end is nigh fatcats.
From each according to their ability, to each according to their needs

  52. Posted by guest | November 25, 2008 at 5:11 PM

I’m confused. Is the person in the turkey suit the prize? If so, that’s kind of demeaning and reinforces the very income inequality being protested.

  53. Posted by guest | November 25, 2008 at 5:12 PM

    Sorry Leftwing, fatcats prefer drumsticks.
