I worked for one of those larger-than-life money managers. He was always out doing interviews, marketing, etc. Then he’d blow into the trading room “Why is the market up?” or “Why is the market down?” – since he didn’t bother keeping up too much.
It got to the point that the head trader one day said “More buyers than sellers” during a barely-up-50 points Dow. Funniest thing I’d ever heard but the guy bought it.
