    BMW AG (BMW.XE) said it may tap financial rescue packages in Germany and the
    U.S., the Financial Times reported Tuesday. BMW interim Chief Financial
    Officer Friedrich Eichiner said BMW hasn’t made a final decision about its
    German finance operations joining a credit guarantee plan but the company
    isn’t ruling it out. Eichiner also said BMW was thinking about its U.S.
    finance business joining a U.S. rescue plan, without specifying if he meant
    the Federal Reserve’s commercial paper facility or the Treasury’s $700
    billion package.
