Spotted: Stan O’Neal

Picture 218.pngThe man about town and possible working girl was just spotted dining at Alain Ducasse’s Adour in the St. Regis hotel. Apparently when he got up from the table, a “wad” of twenties fell out of his pocket.

Speaking of spotting people: I know he’s meant to be on location somewhere, but I could have sworn I just saw CNBC’s Dennis Kneale wobbling his way along 34th Street on a skateboard.

  5. Posted by guest | November 18, 2008 at 3:15 PM

@5- i think that’s done, so it couldve been him.

that “wad of twenties” reminds me of that punchline from the old joke, about the middle aged broad forced into hooking – her first night out at hunt’s point mkt she gets home with a total of $38.50:
Hubby asks – “Who gave you the fifty cents?”
Wife sez – “ALL of them”

If you ask me, this clown has gotten off really light. He is either criminally negligent or criminally stupid. Either way he needs to fund some taxpayer liquidity or do some time in Club Fed.
    What a Dirtbag!

The hookers that work the St. Regis are pretty darn decent. Better than Spitzer-esque and much more cost effective and convenient.
I guess that is why EP’s portfolio company guys liked to stay there.

i.e. Stan had an inferiority complex and got rid of people who appeared to be smart. He thought GS was the team to beat and fixated on them.

15 You should know, TGFD, that Stan-O was a big Bush supporter. One of the “Rangers”, who bundled lots and lots of money for W. You could look it up.

@TGFD, since I know you’re probably wondering what happened to your comments. They, perhaps like you, were trash and needed to be taken out. Leave that garbage here again and your IP will be banned and you’ll have to find some other site to leave your asinine crap on.

I’ve seen worse entries on DB that have not been removed.
You put stanley’s picture up and invited comments. Really, what did you expect? Complements?
Whether you like it or not, stanley is a product of Affirmative Action. Your scolding TGFD and threatening to ban my IP don’t alter that.

@TGFD- I realize you’re an ignoramus, but re: “what did you expect,” intelligent, non-bigots (or even stupid non-bigots) don’t see a picture of a black man and feel the need to throw out racist, disgusting words and “ideas.” Your comment would not have been deleted if you had commented on the quality of his work without bringing your feeble minded hate into it.

The guy obviously has a personality disorder and is moderately schizoid. He craves the attention – ignore him and he will go elsewhere to get his feed.
Guys like him are a bit scary because they have learned to speak “as if” they are functioning adults. But, in the end, he will end up a middle-age loser fiddling with swizzle sticks alone in a dreary bar in the middle of nowhere.

After reading some of these remarks, I think all comments should be reviewed before posting. Some of you just cannot resist the opportunity to put your clear racial insecurities on display, regardless of the collateral offense it may cause. If you have a beef w/ O’neil The Thief, then let it be so. If you have a problem with people of darker skin color (an attribute beyond their control), then go get your head shrunk or GROW UP. Be an a**shole on your own time. We work as hard and as ethically as anyone else. Thank you! (Thanks for speaking up on TGFD Bess)

@ Cluzo- Yes, I am missing the Shake Shack every day. I was recently in NY for a day trip, and still kicking myself for not stopping at the Shack. I did manage to hit my old bar for a couple before running to the airport.
Ok, so here’s my take on Stan O’Neal:
Idiots come in all colors. Stan, Jimmy, Fuld.. They’re all idiots. They all ran their companies into the ground.
What’s the common theme that these men all share? They each exhibited a lack of leadership (Cayne hotboxing on 6, Stan – just being absent minded, Fuld – worrying about his 2008 bonus).
I’d say Stan’s the smartest of the crew, in a kinda screwed up way. He’s got the most money.
