Repo of a car loan made with bailout $…in default already so in the interest of looking contrite, bank directors must now drive them.
Je ne comprende pas.
That’s where the Wideclops gives fellatio to all the SunTrust directors.
The joke is that a Director at Suntrust should probably make enough money to have a nicer ride, jackasses.
The joke is that a Director at Suntrust should probably make enough money to have a nicer ride, jackasses.
How in gods name did I manage a double post after all these mistake free years? GAH
The joke is on fuckin douchebags like @8&9 who can’t even post to a blog without screwing it up.
This is weak. Very weak. Person could be Director of facilities, for all we know. Plus the car isn’t that bad. Maybe his is in the shop and he borrowed it from his daughter for the day.
@11
I deserved that
SunTrust = Chicago Boof + Asslingus
dudes that video is LEGIT. POST THAT UP!
@9,
that’s so 2007….
@16 you already did.
Sweet ride!!
@15 I just pooed myself.
can anyone identify the make and model of that vehicle?
1984 Oldsmobuick?
Is that an old BMW?
Nah, that’s a mid- to late-80′s Celica with some slightly better after-market wheels. (Slim chance its a mid-80′s Audi coupe… around the time people stopped buyin em)
More importantly, that’s some Beverly Hills Cop ish…
A Cadillac Caterra, perhaps? A favorite of the blue haired set that wouldn’t dain to be seen in a Buick, but couldn’t afford something nicer.
Welcome to Atlanta where the playas play
“I can get 70 miles to the gallon on this hog”
can we get a pic of lisa sandler?
1986 Toyota Celica GT is my guess: http://www.carlustblog.com/images/2008/03/19/rear_34.jpg
so the guy who drives this car is in that video?!
’89 Celica: the new killing it
@28 here, insert correct model/year
too post Bush era, didn’t read.
Can someone PLEASE tell me what the hell kind of car that is?
89 audi coupe
NOT a BMW. Toyota
88 Celica ST
@ That;s a Hummer
89 audi coupe
Is it too lame to say “your job at SunTrust might be in trouble if the director is driving a twenty-year-old Toyota”?
“Reserved for Cliff Asness”
Everyone is a director in banking, especially given this isn’t Robertson Humphrey. This guy probably makes $50 thousand a year.
@37 Actually, isn’t that a good sign? Chances are he didn’t “kill it” underwriting CDOs and RMBS which is why he’s rocking a crappy ride. Ergo, he’s not getting killed right now and therefore less likely to have to can underlings.
Of course, from word on the blogosphere, this is not the case at Suntrust.
@39, Instant Classic…
@1 Amazing video
@8…you’ve made lots of them, Suntrust Directors make $35k…
” I DRIVE A DODGE STRATUS! “
@39 — it’s *Robinson* Humphrey, not Robertson Humprey, idiot.
@10 was the best caption by far
Hey Gov! See, no more pimped rides. Now can we get that check cut please?
who said you can’t sell bonds out of Atlanta, STRH for lifffe
“Yea, but it’s got a Ferrari engine and she kicks like a mule”
@ 40 Sutrust has done some absolutely TURD deals in the MBS/ABS space. Take a look at STACS 2007-1. This was an Alt-A/Prime-ish 2nd’s deal that has shit da bed in the worst sort of way.
Fact is that “banks” like Suntrust got the sloppy 8ths after real wall st. firms were done in terms of quality and talent. They were and remain a joke.
via Reuters: “Suntrust Executives Decide to Forgo Bonuses this Year Generally Consisting of 25% Off Coupons to Jiffy Lube”
Reminds me of the scene in Ft Lauderdale, High-rise bldgs within 100′ of each other with massive Sun Trust, BofA, etc logos up top, adjacent to empty ‘luxury’ condo towers.
The only scene I know in Ft Laud is a bar called Dudes, where guys that look like first year analysts dance in jock straps. Yum. GAnalYst
@11 shut the fuck up and play the game
“but officer, I’m a customer, I just needed to run in and get a line of credit to finance my move to da big house” GoI
You guys are idiots, that’s the new post bail-out GM hybrid. Looks like shit, drives worse, and costs so much you need to be an executive at SunTrust to buy it.
What would we do without congress?
SMP
Can I still get a discount for Diet Coke and Coke Zero.

So, have you declared a winner yet for the DB coffee cup?
@50
STACS 2007-1
Alt-A seconds
Credit enhancements provided by XL Capital
Interest rate hedges provided by Bear Stearns
Too sickening, didnt read further
@59 no need to read further…
Definitely a Celica, but the real classy touch (besides the BBS look-a-like rims) is what appears to be the addition of a plush carpet surface to the dashboard.
@50 “real wall st. firms” ahahahaha you my friend are living in the 80s.
Suntrust is still operating, which makes it 1,000x more successful than lehman, bear, merrill, etc.
Is that 801 Brickell Ave, parking lot?
call the fukking car czar. i am sick of this beater…
In an effort to make inroads in the 18-27 year old demographic category, Sun Trust has recently retained a consulting group, formerly of General Motors, to advise it on lifestyle branding.
“Hey lay off the goods” Beau Cummins, Head of SunTrust Robinson Humphrey IBD
I borrowed this car from the GM CEO, only driven round trip to once from Detroit to Washington…..
they se me rollin, they hatin…
