Beauties Hit With Madoff Mud (NYP)
The Post does quite the hit job on the Noel sisters today, digging up anonymous sources who share that Lisina was prone to wearing white mink coats during her teens, that in their mother's native Brazil the girls were known as the "Aspirina Sisters because they gave the Brazilian girls headaches by always stealing their boyfriends," and that four of the five slept with the same guy in college. So, okay, DISGUSTING, but whatever. Not whatevs, and in fact totally unacceptable? Bringing the lovable and smiley Arki Busson, EIM founder/Madoff victim, into this with the "dirt" that he "didn't start off in high finance either" and was in a movie in the 80s.
Hunting Monica & Walter Noel (Cityfile)
The team at Cityfile, who we love but who we must say is sorely out of practice with prank phone calls, tried all of the Noel family's phone numbers (homes, cells) they could get their hands on until Monica answered. Then they hung up.

_______________________________________________________
And speaking of the (Fairfield) Greenwich branch of the Madoff Movie of the Week, we were recently passed on this highly, highly, highly unfounded, possibly baseless rumor about the Noels and their white Christmases past:
A friend (who works for an law enforcement organization that goes by a three letter name beginning with "F" and ending in "I") tells me that Corina Noel's husband, Andrés Piedrahita, may have done something fatally stupid by placing 2x-3x-laundered Columbian Drug Cartel money into the FFG-Madoff sinkhole.
This was apparently the "cleanest money," that took 10-15% in costs, commissions
and fees and years to make it that clean--the stuff the Columbians struggle to get that clean.
Andrés and Corina have "disappeared," because they don't want to permanently "disappear."
Michael de Picciotto is in the same boat.
Apparently, already there is a "gallows-humor" dispute in DoJ over who gets to inform
Andrés and Corina that:
1) The AG will not allow them to take a single US penny of tainted money with them;
2) There is no "VIP" or "Born to Privilege" level to the USFWPP;
And this is before they have even knocked on the door of DoJ.

What's the history behind Arki Busson? The career ladder that starts with work as a struggling actor doesn't typically end at being a billionaire fund manager.
Debauchery is hot.
Posted by guest , Dec 24, 2008 4:32PM
@6- that's b/c the New York Post is retarded. his family was rich from the beginning, and he was something of a playboy in europe. the whole stint as an actor kind of fits in with the narrative:
Biography
Busson was born in Switzerland. His father, Pascal Busson, was a former French army officer and Algeria veteran, and later a stock broker turned financier. His mother, Florence "Flockie" Harcourt-Smith, was an English former debutante. His parents met in Paris and named their son after the mysterious Hungarian-born banker Plesch (1889-1974), who was not only Florence Busson's stepfather (he was the second husband of her mother, Marysia Ulam Krauss Harcourt-Smith), but also her stepgrandfather (Plesch's first wife was his second wife's mother, Leonie Ulam).[2] Plesch also was a mentor to Italy's richest man, the late head of Fiat, Gianni Agnelli.[3] Busson's aunt, Joanna Harcourt-Smith, was a companion of Timothy Leary.[2]
Growing up in Switzerland, some sources have suggested that Busson made early profits selling toothpicks door-to-door (which he denies),[4] but he was educated in France and at the Institut Le Rosey in Switzerland. He then served national service as a nurse in the French army, where a friend said: "He loved the discipline of the army - it was the making of him." [5].
On being demobilised, Busson luxuriated in the Riviera life, enjoying a well-publicised relationship with the actress Farrah Fawcett and appearing regularly in the tabloid gossip columns. As he often refuses to give interviews, stories surround Busson - the story about Fawcett is that he masqueraded as an Italian prince on the French Riviera where he wooed Fawcett away from Ryan O'Neal. The story is only partly true, in that it was perpetuated by the gossip columnist "Taki" as a sort of in-joke: Taki knew Busson's mother, who was friends with Fawcett; Busson's father often met Fawcett at dinner parties.[4]
[edit] Finance career
Busson then started to make a good deal of money after he studied how to invest on behalf of others. He also drew on the example of his parents, whose social circle is said to have included princesses and maharajahs. A family friend says of Busson: "Arki's a chip off the old block. His father always wanted to mix with the right people. His parents never had a great deal of steady cash, but were charming and well-mannered, and very well connected."[6]
Busson entered the world of hedge funds in 1986. Employed by Paul Tudor Jones’s fund Tudor Investments, when it generated a huge return for investors after the 1987 stock-market crash, Busson’s reputation was sealed and other money managers sought out his services. They included Louis Bacon, Julian Robertson and Paul Marshall, and resultantly Busson set up EIM in 1992 to help manage assets for his wealthy clients.
In 1995, EIM had just seven employees with $100 million under management. Today Busson now employs 172 people around the world at EIM. The fund has $12.5 billion under management. On average, EIM's portfolios have generated gross returns of just under 12 per cent annually over the past decade. The firm distinguishes itself from its rivals by offering investors a bespoke service, creating tailor-made portfolios for clients to suit their risk appetites. EIM has offices in several cities, including New York, Gibraltar, Nyon, and Singapore.
On 20 December, 2008 EIM was reported as being a victim of Bernard Madoff's ponzi scheme; with assets of $230 million under Madoff's management.[7]

FRIENDS describe Marco Sodi, who was born in Florence, as a "Florentine at heart," someone who appreciates art, beauty, nature, books, water-skiing and power boats.
Mr. Sodi, 35, the managing director in charge of international mergers and acquisitions at Veronis, Suhler & Associates, an investment bank in New York, met Ariane Noel, whose background is Brazilian, Swiss and American, on a blind date a year ago.
She picked him up at his Manhattan apartment building in her bright red Volkswagen.
Ms. Noel, 27, is a partner with her mother in Monica Noel, a company based in Greenwich, Conn., that makes children's clothing and linens that are European in style, the sort of smock dresses and embroidered tablecloths one might see hanging on a line in a bougainvillea-filled garden overlooking the Mediterranean.
The blind date went well, and now their friends call them "the electric couple." Both are tall, outgoing, beautifully dressed and multilingual; in conversation, they slip in and out of different languages as if they were loose summer shoes.
They are also fierce athletes. "Ariane has been very good for Marco," said David Lamb, a friend of the couple. "The other day we were having lunch, and Marco told me he shot an 86 at golf for the first time. She will probably bring him under par."
Six months after the couple met, Mr. Sodi proposed as he and Ms. Noel stood underneath the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center.
"He said, 'I love you more than anything in the world and I've never been happier,' " Ms. Noel recently recalled. "I sort of let him go on. I wanted to hear it all. Then he opened his dinner jacket and said, 'Pull on this string.'
"There was a long, beautiful velvet cord hanging out of his inside pocket, and I pulled on it and out came the ring. It was tied to the bottom of the cord."
Mr. Sodi found the ring at the annual Christmas jewelry auction at Sotheby's in New York. It was an antique, emerald-cut sapphire, the sort of large, bold ring that Angelica Huston or Mariel Hemingway might wear.
Another time, she reeled in a little velvet bag holding earrings to match the ring.
On June 25, they were married in the early evening before 400 guests at Christ Episcopal Church in Greenwich in a wedding that was European in spirit. The dark, gothic-style church was filled with piano music, big hats, bright colors and flowers that were inspired by everything from Impressionist paintings to Christian Lacroix gowns.
The bride wore a long ponytail and a sleeveless dress with a scooped back that was made by Lorenzo Riva, a Milan designer.
The 10 bridesmaids wore short dresses in different summer colors like watermelon-pink, lime green and the bright yellow of new tennis balls. They carried bouquets of hot pink, coral and saffron roses.
All around them, like shooting stars, ran five flower girls in white Monica Noel dresses and white fabric flower headbands.
For the reception at the nearby Round Hill Country Club, Dorothy Wako, a New York floral designer, planted a traditional English garden with the feel of a country cottage.
The garden was filled with rambling pink roses, wild sweet peas, lavender Canterbury bells and white peonies that were as soft looking as powder puffs and as big as melons.
"Ariane wanted to please all the senses with this wedding," said Tierney Gifford Horne, a friend of the bride who is the fashion director at Mademoiselle magazine.
During dinner, guests sat at tables named after the couple's favorite places -- Geneva, Aspen, Klosters, Anguilla, Firenze, San Michele. At 1:30 A.M., after a night that included a song- and-dance toast by the bride's four sisters, who called themselves the "Noel Supremes," the couple drove off in an old classic yellow Buick convertible from the 1950's.
"They went off for a three-week honeymoon," said Alix Noel, a sister of the bride. "The first week is in the great barrier reef in Australia; the second week is a week of heli-skiing in New Zealand, and the third week they'll spend in a remote bungalow on an island in Fiji. They'll go scuba diving in Australia and skiing in New Zealand. They love the sporting life."

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A Bridgeport jury has awarded more than $198,000 to a woman who claims her dentist promised her a celebrity smile, but gave her what her attorney called "horse teeth."
Attorney Richard Meehan Jr. says his client, Marvalyn Foster sued Stamford dentist Darren Martinez because he promised her a "big, beautiful Hollywood celebrity smile." Foster wanted Martinez to give her a permanent bridge to replace a false tooth.
Meehan says that Foster woke up from the procedure to discover that Martinez extracted three teeth and made a large bridge that resembled horse teeth.
Meehan says a jury deliberated two hours before returning its verdict Monday.
Martinez's attorney, Bruce Gilpatrick, of Stamford, could not be reached for comment.

Summary Key to Noel DB Posters:
------------------------------
1-Greenwich defenders; not WASP, Ivy, $ or anythig...rather micks, polaks, slavs, jews or other bottle-blond half breeds/mongrels aspiring to be
2-Euro haters who are realizing being U.S. white & drunk are not status symbols, anymore...sadly.
3-Some deluded feminist-chick who keeps callling everyone "Little Boy".
4-Female stalkers who keep posting Noel minutia like Crew stats, wedding cake flavors, etc...get over the high school slights
6-"Playboy" haters....yes, they exist, are not pasty white, get tons of white/pink pussy, drive Ferraris, and party hardy. It beats your life, accept it.
7-Jew haters; enough said
8-"Pile-on'ers": normal folks, reacting to a train wreck....involving crooks, sluts, fools; greed, sloth, gluttony, wrath, lust, pride and envy
9-CIA: some posts are actually quite cryptic and will unravel this mystery
10-Rest: 20 something DB poster, hoping this shit-show of a career would end.

But you are a little boy. I bet you have real small one too :-) You've lashed out at everyone because they don't want to join you in the playpen.
Hehe.

@85
your point no. 7 took the credibility away from your whole list. You made that whole list just so you could get your No. 7 out. How creative you get.
