It was pretty dull until just now:
Rep. Paul Kanjorski: Hey, Nardelli, why the hell isn’t Cerberus sending you any of the $24 billion they have if you have any chance of surviving? Corker had you people figured out yesterday. You can’t survive with your present balance sheets. So what’s the story?
Who dresses Nardelli? That pink tie is hurting me. Deep down and personally.
I love listening to Maxine Waters wax poetic on private equity, its role in society and internal economics.
Rep. Carolyn Maloney: Hey, jackasses, you keep suing us to lower state greenhouse gas requirements. Why should I give you any dough?

OH GAWD MAXINE WATER SHUT UP PLEASE.
someone should introduce these guys to the “greater fool” theory, although now that I think about it, it’d probably be completely lost on them, alas!

Isn’t the second tag purely redundant?
I say the Big 3 settle this like real men in an all out brawl “Westside Story” style. At the very least we’ll be entertained. Nothing would be more captivating than 50+ year old men in leotards with letterman jackets on, performing choreographed dance moves while trying to gut each other like fish for the one and only bailout check.

“Hey, jackasses, you keep suing us to lower state greenhouse gas requirements. Why should I give you any dough?” Actually if environmental requirements weren’t so high, especially the MPG fleet requirements, the big three could outsource their building of smaller cars to places where the unions don’t make producing them so high and thus the big three wouldn’t be in so much trouble. Funny enough, though sounding good, many of the environment requirements pushed on domestic automakers are promoted by unions to keep production in the U.S. and thus to keep their power.
Our government and unions have crippled the big three with demands and regulations, not all of this is simply “failed corporate policies”
