the industry across the board is hurting. Look at Toyota. Looks like that double-down on becoming the next Chevy isn’t working out too well. They just have a strong cash reserve and are subsidized by the Japanese government.

What they meant when they blame the credit market freeze for their woes is that, if I may loosely translate, “We can’t issue oodles of cheap debt to fund our bloated operations, and our customers can’t obtain similarly cheap and plentiful debt to (over) pay for our vehicles and now we’re f&cked!”
