President-elect Barack Obama named three new members of his economic team with a promise they would “crack down on the culture of greed and scheming” that has led to a crisis in U.S. financial markets.

Uh oh. If this is true, you’re fucked, Goldman.

Barry, my boy, until we see action we are just going to laugh every time you claim that you are going to crack down on the crap that goes on in front of us in the business every day.
By the way, Mary Shapiro as head of the S.E.C. ain’t credible. She isn’t changing anything other than to upgrade the toilet paper in the ladies crapper to Charmin.

I have a good friend who works for Goldman in their equity derivative trading group. He used to be one of the most arrogant assholes I knew, but he was my friend. Yesterday, we had drinks in the city and he looked so sickly pale…
I took this as a sign of weakness, so I began to hurl invectives about Goldman and his trading desk. How incompetent he/they were, how f*%#ing depressing it must be to associate yourself with such failure day to day. He took insult after insult and when I felt like he couldn’t take anymore, I laughed and said: “To top it all off, damn, you’re one ugly son of a bitch.” He just sank his head into his palms and I threw the drink money on the counter.
Now I may have lost a friend, but the moral of the story is when a man is down, kick dirt in his face. Twice. Maybe even 3 times. (4 is just inhumane)
Every Goldman person you meet, embarass/insult/slap the fuck out of them. It’s karma, and the universe commands it.

    Burning bush
    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In the narrative, a representative of Obama is described as appearing in the bush, and Obama is subsequently described as calling out from it to Mary Shapiro, who had been grazing Blankfein’s flocks there. When Obama notices Mary Shapiro starting to approach, The Messiah tells Mary Shapiro to first take off her sandals, due to the place being holy ground, and Mary Shapiro hides her face.
According to the narrative, Mary Shapiro was given supernatural powers, in order to help her persuade Goldman and Morgan Stanley of her commission; these included the ability to turn her staff into a snake, the ability to make her hand (temporarily) become leprous, the ability to turn water into blood and the ability to stamp out greed and corruption on Wall Street. In the text, Obama subsequently instructs Mary Shapiro to take the staff in her hands, in order to perform miracles with it, as if it is a staff given to her, rather than her own.
Despite the signs, Mary Shapiro is described as being very reluctant to take on the role, arguing that she lacked credibility, and that someone else should be sent instead; in the text, Obama reacts by angrily suggesting that Geithner is sent to assist her, since Geithner is eloquent and was already on his way to meet Mary Shapiro. This is the first time in the administration that Geithner is mentioned, and here he is described as being Mary Shapiro’s prophet, as if Mary Shapiro were Geithner’s boss.

There should be a fine for greed, where you are required to give the government an increasingly greater portion of each dollar you earn from investment schemes

The point is, ladies and gentleman, that greed — for lack of a better word — is good.
    Greed is right.
    Greed works.
Greed clarifies, cuts through, and captures the essence of the evolutionary spirit.
Greed, in all of its forms — greed for life, for money, for love, knowledge — has marked the upward surge of mankind.
And greed — you mark my words — will not only save Teldar Paper, but that other malfunctioning corporation called the USA.
    Thank you very much

“Every Goldman person you meet, embarass/insult/slap the fuck out of them.”
Why just insult them? Clawback their 2005-06-07 bonuses to help pay for the TARP. All of ‘em, including Bald’s bonus and tax-free stock sale. If TARP actually pays off for the taxpayer in 10 years they can have it all back, unadjusted for inflation hahahahha.

  35. Posted by Anal_yst | December 18, 2008 at 5:31 PM

    @ Ronburgundy
wtf is up with the kashkari shit? Honestly chill the eff out.
    @ 35
How do you clawback bonuses which, lets say 70% of which are already either donated generously to the IRS and/or already flowing their way through the economy?
Real smart buddy, brilliant even. Let me guess, Congressman?

“Greed and Scheming”? This is the middle name for the Jewish Nation. I mean, they pretend they give money to Charity and such, but take a good look, the real money flows back to the Jews. It’s all the Jewish Charity which donates all the money back to Israel. I blame the Jews and Japs.

Didn’t the Messiah say that the Financial Markets lacked adult supervision? This is a joke, Shapiro did nothing, oh that is unless you count increased fines for OATS….and the failed naming of SIRA, oh I mean FINRA.
All Obama is going to do is destroy this country. CHANGE….Clinton 3rd term.
