ELAINE: The whole city is talking about this monster Joel Rifkin, and I am dating a Joel Rifkin.
JERRY: But you like your Joel Rifkin.
ELAINE: Yeah. I just wish he has a different name.
JERRY: Ask him to change it.
ELAINE: You can't ask a person to change their name.
JERRY: Why not?
ELAINE: Would you change yours?
JERRY: If someone asked me nicely. I'm Claude Seinfeld.
(Kramer enters)
ELAINE: Hey, how many people did Rifkin strangle? Eighteen?
JERRY: Yeah. Eighteen strangles.
*Double meaning there.

JOEL: Remy Rifkin? Should I get a beret?
ELAINE: Oh, Stuart's a lot better! (talking like a baby) Little Stuart Rifkin likes to go shopping with his mother

Are they just trying to prevent a run on their business. There are hundreds of companies/funds that still are trying to figure out how deep their exposures are to this. (As I write this Sterling just announced they were exposed). How the heck is a Name-Associated Fund/Firm going to claim they are not part of this mess?

There's an American Funds mutual fund called Washington Mutual. May want to change that, too.
By the way, one alternative Elaine offered for her Joel Rifkin was O.J.

During the S&L crisis in the 1990s, there was an unfortunate bank named Lincoln, whose president was named Keating. There was no relation between either the Keatings or the Lincolns, but it sure caused a lot of problems for the good bank.

Why all the comment deletions? Is it like some kind of neo- Art movement?
Posted by guest , Dec 12, 2008 5:01PM
no comments have been deleted, except for the ones calling out random non-senior personnel.

The global economic downturn and stagnation forced people to be good investors. Investing, as we all know is a great action to save money for future use. And aside from that, investment is also the key to retirement because no companies ever offer pension plans anymore and it isn't like you can rely on Social Security. Building an investment portfolio is something you want to start sooner rather than later. It might be worth getting a payday loan to start one. If you manage your investments carefully, you could even possibly retire early, and live off the interest. It's the way Warren Buffet has made billions, and it is the way to build a nest egg for your golden years, so you really can't afford to not start investing. http://personalmoneystore.com/moneyblog/2009/03/26/cheeky-investment-payday-loan/
