A "ponzi crawl":
A pub crawl that adds a new person to buy a round at each location. Each new person is promised that they will get free drinks at all the future bars if they buy this round. Obviously, whoever joins the ponzi crawl last gets screwed!

AHAHAHAHAAH!!
Couldn't read the first link without burst into peals of manic laughter.
Yolanda, pedicure, Hermes purses and Louboutin shoes, never used the Subway - I bet this a (good) joke.

Citi, out of TARP Money already.
NEW YORK (AP) - Customers of New York City-based Citibank have lost access to much of their account information because of a computer outage.Many of the troubled bank’s clients haven’t been able to retrieve account details online or by telephone since Tuesday afternoon. Others can access only parts of their account profiles.
“computer outage” is clearly a euphemism for “money outage,”

The 92nd Street Y? Good choice! That's the school that Sandy Weill promised to get Jack Gubman's kids into if he put out a BUY rating on AT&T, to raise the merger price. I wonder whose kids are getting in thanks to hooking Paulson as a speaker?

I would have usually felt sorry for the writer woman in the link. However, she clearly is a member of the liberal elite who have fostered and furthered the kind of hatred for success and wealth (even if honestly earned) that she is seeing in the comments on her post.
Would I feel bad for Bono (the tax evader who wants to use other people's taxes to help destitutes) if he was scammed out of every penny of his? Hell no.

Times must be hard at CNBC. Chazz actually has a blog at the "Daily Beast":

Really Charlie, "literally"?

Wow, this is pretty shocking.

It is once again the FAILURE of regulation. SEC could (or would) do nothing and other kept piling on money assuming SEC was doing its job!

The 2005 letter sent to the SEC by Markopolos (linked above at the Journal) is devastating. My god.

@11 - awesome read, he nailed it

@12:
I suspect that guy is a lucky nut. Why the hell wouldn't you just blackmail Madoff instead of flapping your gums at the SEC? Or better yet, blackmail him and then rat him out. Makes no sense. Clearly that guy is not very clever.

@15:
I don't believe in arbitrary values that can not be arrived at objectively. Not in the market, and not in "morals" either. People seem to not realize that their value systems are completely arbitrary and therefore meaningless.
However, I do not consider this to be cynical. It is, as the economists say, rational.

You all are missing a big angle.
A publicly owned feeder was bought a few years back.
They had representation.
Big name. Bulge bracket advisors.
That spent days at Bernie's.
They said everything was kosher.
