Do people care? Or does use of the “word” “misunderestimate” invalidate the whole thing?

dealbreak, why don’t you just change your name to “dealbreaker: the #1 cnbc blog”? all you seem to fucking do is live blog what ever the moron hosts are talking about… you’re hacks. this post for example is nothing more than fishing for page views. YOU get paid for page views how about YOU (aka the writer) entertain us instead of leaving it up to the comments to make up for your lack of talent?

The AP starts a story this way:
AP – In a nostalgic final news conference, President George W. Bush defended his record vigorously and at times sentimentally Monday — and admitted mistakes, too, including his optimistic Iraq speech …
This certainly would give a new meaning to the word nostalgic.

Bess didn’t provide a link, but there’s Bloomberg story with the D word:
Jan. 12 (Bloomberg) — President George W. Bush said Barack Obama hasn’t asked him to seek the remaining $350 billion in financial-rescue money from Congress and that his administration’s response to the economic crisis averted a depression.
“I readily concede I chucked aside some of my free-market principles when I was told by chief economic advisers that the situation that we were facing could be worse than the Great Depression,” Bush said today at his final White House news conference.
Bush said he is willing to ask lawmakers for the second half of the $700 billion Troubled Assets Relief Program if the president-elect wants. That would allow Obama to begin using money from the program, which has come under fire from Congress and the public, immediately upon taking office Jan. 20.
“He hasn’t asked me to make the request yet and I don’t intend to make the request unless he asks me,” Bush said.
Bush is leaving a plateful of problems for his successor, including an economy that’s in recession and wars in Iraq and Afghanistan that have cost more than $600 billion and the lives of almost 5,000 U.S. military personnel.
