Picture 492.pngIt was palpably awkward moments earlier when Dennis Kneale introduced CNBC’s “Silicon Valley bureau chief” Jim Goldman to discuss Steve Jobs’s recent “hormone imbalance” disclosure by asking Goldman, “so this all had to with PMS or something?” His co-anchors wondered aloud why DK doesn’t come with “a ten second delay” and put the request out that he be fitted with one for tomorrow.
But it turns out those of you quick to characterize this as yet another example of a Kneale brand of humor that serves both to be unfunny** and also gross everyone out (the previous instance being a 1-2 punch of his description of Victoria’s Secret apparel as “slut wear” and a reference to buying said items for his “partner”) are in the wrong. You see, ladies, Kneale wasn’t actually making a painfully unfunny joke that obviously fell flat, but rather attempting to relate to his fellow PMS sufferers.
Remember back in March when, in the wake of SpitzerGate, Charlie Gasparino innocently asked on-air if Kneale used hookers? And Spectacles totally blew the whole thing out of proportion, flipped out on CG, and sentenced us to that screechy voice for like 2 minutes straight? CNBC staffers tell us it turns out the meltdown had less to do with Gasparino’s question and everything to do with the matter of Kneale’s hormones being momentarily out of whack, owing to the fact that he was about to get his period.

Earlier: Why Are You Getting So Defensive, Dennis?
**And most importantly misses the opportunity to ask, what do our colleagues at SAC think of all this?

Why does he insist on wearing those fucking catlady glasses. Reminds me of my grandmother, and the candyjar she left around, containing those sticky butter-scotch candies from fucking ’68.
Dennis: clean the kitty litter, and brush Whiskers.

DK needs to work on his stand up at FBN in between paid programming (1-3am)

On the subject of CNBC staffers….who is the host of Closing Bell? Every time I see something boring on FBN I click on CNBC and inevitably get a set of commercials…..makes me sick and if I wait there long enough I see Melissa Lee.

Who is Kneale related to and/or schtooping? There is absolutely no other reason for him to be on CNBC (even FBN would be pushing it).

    Anal,
I think he’s the aesthetically disgusting dude that has no valid insight. You hate to look at him, but can’t move your eyes. See Pete for similar comparison (although, I don’t mind Pete’s thoughts half the time).
Can’t someone “accidentally” snip that ponytail, for chrissakes? There’s gotta be someone in the dressing room with a pair of shears.

DK is nothing more than the oral version of the WSJ editorial page. You know what he is going to say before his lips move!

his hiring is a perfect example of what is wrong with CNBC, lets get a guy who doesn’t understand the markets at all and pass him off as some kind of expert.

I heard that Dennis proposed a show with himself and Pisani called “Kneale & Bob”.
But I bet he could do Kneale & Bob all by himself ;)

CNBC should bounce him – his arguments are week, he has no specific knowledge or experience in the markets and doesn’t have any interesting commentary – at least Trish Regan is good to look at and can get some ratings. Tyler Mathisen please fire this guy – what is he your nephew

    CG is my hero.

as pertains to the video clip: Dennis Kneale cried during the commercial break following that conversation with Gasparino.
    - that guy from Goldman Sachs (a.k.a.: TGFGS).

let me just say that DK is a much smarter and entertaining than those divas over at FBN.
never pick on CG cause he’ll start raging like he did on Dylan Rattigan.
did Maria not host Closing Bell? is she off on her 3rd week of vacation? or is she gone? I hope the latter.

DK is extremely entertaining and I will always get a kick out of him on CNBC.
